Out of the Bizzaro World Department, Randy Moss is reportedly headed to Minnesota, pending a contract extension with the Vikings. This comes one day after a zero catch performance at Miami that probably helped motivate his requests further to get out of Foxborough.
Currently being reported is Moss being exchanged for a 3rd round draft choice in the 2011 NFL Draft. This would give the Patriots yet another pick to add to their growing collection.
This is pure speculation, but if one deep threat is leaving town, shouldn’t there be someone to replace him? I am pretty sure there is someone still under contract in San Diego that may fit the bill.
This may be the perfect storm scenario to bring him in under. While Jackson hasn’t played a snap this season, he could still come in and learn the system here in the bye week, sit out Week 6 vs. Baltimore and be ready to face his old team in Week 7. The storyline is almost too good to be true.
