SAN DIEGO - NOVEMBER 15: Andy Reid head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles points to his defensive line as he yells instructions against the San Diego Chargers late in the fourth quarter during the NFL football game at Qualcomm Stadium on November 15, 2009 in San Diego, California. Instead of packing up a bunch of stuff related to his extended stint as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles into a U-Haul for the long trip from Philly to Kansas City, where Andy Reid took a job as the Chiefs head coach after his dismissal from the Eagles, he and his wife are holding a “Moving Sale” and there are sure to be some items that will interest many Eagles diehards. Via the Philadelphia Business Journal: Items at the “Andy and Tammy Reid Moving Sale” will include Eagles gear-and-ware — including hats, dinnerware, glasses, gift items, tickets signed by players and miscellaneous memorabilia. Many items are autographed. Several Eagles players will also be on hand to sign items that have been purchased. Autographs will be offered for a fee of $25. The sale will also include suitcases, purses and miscellaneous items, according to Harriton High School, which sent out an email about the sale Tuesday morning. Proceeds will benefit Harriton’s football team and Laurel House, a Norristown, Pa., nonprofit working to end domestic violence. Eagles dinnerware, you say? Fancy. Now, have these plates and whatnot been used by Andy Reid himself? If so, one can only imagine the many servings of meats and cheeses that have been feasted upon after being served on those plates. Either way, it sure seems like a fine way to get rid of a bunch of items while at the same time raising some much-needed funds for worthwhile causes. Although I regret noticing that there is no mention that any of Andy Reid’s many Hawaiian shirts will be available at the auction. Now those are some fancy garments that would merit a a bid or two.
