I can only imagine how hard it is to retire from the game you love after 15 years and have to watch the team you just left get demolished on the field. Matt Birk who went out on top following the Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII win, seems ready to get back out there. Pretty funny stuff. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
The Baltimore Ravens did a bird’s cage full of things wrong
last night against the Denver Broncos, missed coach's challenge, stupid unsportsmanlike
conduct penalties and costly dropped passes (one even for a sure touchdown). The one thing the Ravens could not control
were injures to two, key offensive players, Jacoby Jones and Michael Oher.
Last night, Pro Bowl kick returner...
Now that the opening NFL game is in the books, the Baltimore Ravens may want to go back and ask the Baltimore Orioles why?
Instead of the defending Super Bowl Champions opening up at home they were forced to travel to Denver.
Instead of a celebration it turned into a debacle and to make matters worse, the Baltimore Orioles announced a crowd of only 17,383 at Camden Yards. In comparison...
Pro Football Talk reports that the Ravens WR Jacoby Jones is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprained that he suffered during Thursday night’s opening loss to the Broncos.
Jones was in the process of calling for a fair catch when rookie free agent S Brynden Trawick unknowingly ran right into him. Jones was able to limp off the field, but was clearly in pain.
Baltimore receiver/return specialist Jacoby Jones (sprained knee) will have an MRI on Friday.Fantasy Spin:His absence showed how thin the Ravens are at wide receiver. The team was left with Torrey Smith, 37-year-old Brandon Stokley and rookie Marlon Brown. If the Jones injury turns out to be lengthy the team may have to search for outside help.
An unfortunate instance of friendly fire will leave the Ravens without one of their top receiving threats for the next month or so.
Jacoby Jones is expected to miss the next four to six weeks with an MCL sprain after being steamrolled by teammate Brynden Trawick on a punt return during Thursday night’s 49-27 loss to the Broncos, a league source told Pro Football Talk.
Despite getting blown out by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens suffered a lot more than a 47-29 loss. Ravens’ star player and Super Bowl XLVII “hero” Jacoby Jones suffered an apparent MCL sprain after accidentally colliding with teammate Brynden Trawick while trying to catch a punt early in the second quarter.
BREAKING: @CliftonBrownCSN confirms Ravens...
Ever since the NFL announced that the champion Ravens would open the season at Denver, the Broncos have been salivating over a chance to get back at Baltimore.
That opportunity comes Thursday night in the Mile High City, where the Ravens staged that sensational late comeback in the divisional playoff game last January before beating the Broncos in double overtime.

The title says it all here, folks. Watch as the Ravens’ GM picks his ear with a ball point pen during the opener against the Denver Broncos.

The editor at the Columbus Dispatch obviously was asleep at the wheel when they were going through this article talking about the Denver Broncos-Baltimore Ravens game. The title of the article said “Elway Throws For Seven Touchdown passes” and the first two words of the article are “Peyton Manning.” Then the next paragraph starts with “Elway” and the following one...
