Martellus Bennett apparently didn't get Wade Phillips' memo about the Cowboys being a unified bunch this season. Bennett, the second-year tight end from Texas A&M, took a shot at Tony Romo this week during an event at the Dallas City Hall to announce a plan to raise diabetes awareness. After 8-year-old Kendall Tubbs discussed her daily fight against the disease, she got in position to toss a football toward Bennett and former Oakland Raiders receiver Tim Brown. But Bennett quickly turned what should have been a nice photo opportunity into an awkward moment when he made his crack about Romo. "I hope she's not Tony Romo 'cause I won't get the ball," the Dallas Morning News' Web site quoted Bennett as saying. Yeah, Bennett was likely just trying to get a laugh. But he has only four receptions in five games and his joke undermined Romo, whose approval rating is already pretty low among the team's fans.
