Detroit running back Jahvid Best has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Atlanta because of a concussion.
The Lions also put running back Jerome Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list after he was reportedly diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Coach Jim Schwartz said Friday that Harrison was in ''very good spirits,'' but any details on his condition would have to come from the player. Citing NFL sources it did not identify, ESPN reported this week that Harrison's tumor was revealed when he had a physical after being dealt this week by Detroit to Philadelphia in a trade that was voided by that discovery.
The Lions have also signed running back Eldra Buckley. Linebacker Justin Durant, also recovering from a concussion, says he expects to play Sunday.

Though the activity up to Tuesday’s trade deadline was not exactly buzzing, two teams, the Lions and Eagles — for the most part — pulled off a player-for-player trade, a rarity these days in the NFL.
Unfortunately, swaps like these have conditions, why is they usually don’t take place. One of these conditions came up in this particular trade, rendering it canceled.
The reason for Jerome Harrison's failed physical, the one that voided the trade between the Lions and Eagles, was a brain tumor, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions agreed to a trade on Tuesday that would've sent Harrison to Philadelphia. A day later, however, the trade was voided when Harrison did not pass a physical.
Justin Durant and Tony Scheffler were limited participants in their returns from concussions. Running back Jerome Harrison, who is reported to have a brain tumor, is listed as out with an illness by the team.
