Buffalo Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham said Tuesday he doesn't want to be a distraction to the team after police said they ticketed him for marijuana possession during a weekend traffic stop. ''It's just a legal issue,'' Bradham said while at training camp in Pittsford. ''I made a mistake, that's it.'' He said he anticipates some sort of action from the team and National Football League but doesn't know yet what that will be. The 23-year-old starter was given an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped at about 2 a.m. Saturday and an officer smelled marijuana, town of Tonawanda Police Lt. Nicholas Bado said. Bradham turned over a baggy containing a small amount of the drug. There was no indication he had been using it while driving, Bado said. Bills general manager Doug Whaley said the incident amounted to a violation of the personal conduct rule and would be addressed by the National Football League. ''It's under review as we speak,'' he said Tuesday. Bradham was drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL draft out of Florida State. He started 11 games last season, making 57 tackles, and is expected to have a significant role in Buffalo's new defensive scheme. He is Buffalo's starting weak side linebacker and is known for his range and speed. ''I have to abide by the rules and I know that,'' Bradham said. ''It was a bad decision.'' In addition to marijuana possession, Bradham also was cited for having the windows of his 2008 Range Rover tinted too dark. He's scheduled to appear in town court Sept. 11.

Bills running back Fred Jackson posterizes Head Coach Doug Marrone #SLAMCAM

Well on the last day of camp in Rochester, New York the Buffalo Bills seemed to be having too much fun.  After getting dunked on by the Great White Hope Chris Hogan (Wide Receiver from Monmouth), Fred Jackson wanted to get some payback.  Today during a tweet, both Stevie Johnson and Aaron Williams wanted to […]

Jairus Byrd ends holdout

Jairus Byrd has ended his holdout and agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills. See what will happen next with the safety.

Bills release longtime kicker Rian Lindell

The move was confirmed by the team on twitter Monday morning. Lindell, 36, was given a four-year deal worth $11 million just a year and a half ago but the Bills have opted to...

BuffalOkie Mondays: Three Questions

With three weeks left until the regular season, here are my three questions based on what we’ve seen from the Bills so far: 1) Is Kevin Kolb simply rusty or should we assume the worst? Kolb completed 13 of 21 pass attempts against the Vikings on Friday night for 111 yards.  If you just saw those numbers (which, due to the blackout, many of you did), you’d think Kolb was good...

Bills face difficult decision with Da'Rick Rogers

It may puzzle some that there's even discussion on how an undrafted player who has clearly been out-performed by at least six receivers currently on the Buffalo Bills' roster is even in the conversation for a roster spot. The problem facing Buffalo's coaching staff and front office is that Da'Rick Rogers hardly fits the looks the part of any normal UDFA, and has...

Still No Progress Between The Bills & Jairus Byrd

Bills GM Doug Whaley told reporters on Tuesday that there’s ”nothing new” regarding S Jairus Byrd’s holdout. “We hope he gets in here before the season opener,” Whaley said, via the Buffalo News. “But only he can tell us on that one.” Byrd, 26, received the team’s franchise tag back in March, but the deadline to workout a long-term deal has already passed. Byrd’s...

Bubble Watch Updated

Last week I thought that three players were on the bubble who the Bills might regret cutting. Of course that was before Buffalo released long time kicker Rian Lindell (which I predicted), and LB Nigel Bradham was cited for marijuana possession. Continued drug busts and off the field issues can get even the best of players assigned to bubble watch but, since this is a first offense...

Where they stand after 46 games...CJ VS OJ/Thurman

CJ Spiller is now the Bills’ starting running back, thanks to his breakout season last year. He was obviously underutilized last year under Chan Gailey, but that should change as the Bills plan to feed him the ball a ton this year. The increased workload this season shouldn’t reduce Spiller’s effectiveness very much and could launch him to becoming one of the greatest running...

Ducks in the NFL: Jairus Byrd signs one-year deal with Bills, ends holdout

Jairus Byrd signed a one-year, 6.9 million dollar contract with the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, ending his holdout. Nfl.com reported that he will report to camp on Thursday, giving him about two and half weeks to prepare for the season under new defensive coordinator Mike Pettine. Byrd had 17 interceptions in his Duck career and was Defensive MVP of the 2008 Holiday Bowl victory over...

Former Bills K Rian Lindell Posts Final Goodbye and Thank You to Bills Fans

This past week, the Buffalo Bills released their most tenured player, kicker Rian Lindell. Lindell owns numerous bills records and just came up short in being the all time points-leader for the team. When you play for the same team for 10 years, saying goodbye can be a bitter pill to swallow. Always classy, though, Rian Lindell said his final goodbye to a fanbase that loved him and...

Guest Post: Fantasy value of Bills' RBs

The Buffalo Bills are looking for an improvement on last year's 6-10 season, and fans are setting their sights on a playoff run. The team will certainly be going through some changes, the most notable of which will be that former Florida State QB EJ Manuel figures to get the starting role from week 1. But rookie QBs have thrived in recent years, and when you consider the fact...

Second Take with Brad Gelber- How KneeJ Manuel Broke The Internet

Remember last week when I wrote about hating preseason football? Yea, this is precisely why. While the Buffalo Bills escaped Week 1 of their preseason unscathed, in Week 2 they weren’t so lucky… I was driving home yesterday when I got a notification on my phone that said “EJ Manuel to miss final two games of the preseason due to knee injury.” The game the...

Jon Gruden Would Give 1st Rounder For Kirk Cousins

This is how we get Matt Flynn, Matt Cassell, and Kevin Kolb ruining NFL franchises. Gruden does seem to love everybody but a first rounder? You know if Gruden thinks this, then there are executives and coaches around the league who feel the same. When will they learn?
