Veteran cornerback Terrence McGee has been placed on season-ending injured reserve and receiver Marcus Easley promoted to the active roster in a series of moves made by the Buffalo Bills. The Bills, on Tuesday, also placed right tackle Erik Pears (hip/groin) on injured reserve and released rookie kicker John Potter. McGee's been slowed by a nagging left knee injury that hasn't fully healed since he had surgery a year ago. His agent, Ron Raccuia, said McGee will likely require a second operation. Easley, selected by Buffalo in the fourth round of the 200 draft, opened the season on the Bills' practice squad. He's missed the previous two seasons due to a knee injury and a heart condition. The moves come as Buffalo prepares to play at New England on Sunday.

Mario Williams blaming his poor play on his wrist injury

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams told ProFootballWeekly.com that his wrist injury is affecting his ability to get past opposing offensive lineman because he can’t use his hands the way he needs to.“I always get doubled, get chipped or get triples — it is what it is. The biggest thing that I have to do is to use my hands and overcome the whole wrist thing,” he said...

Bills plan on splitting reps between Spiller and Jackson

Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey plans on using both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson for this Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.“We need to get (the run game production) back and if we don’t get that back we’ll struggle offensively,” Gailey said, per BuffaloBills.com. “We’ve got to have a balanced running game to complement our passing game. It’s going to be important...

Leadership lacking at One Bills Drive

Same old Bills, I thought as I flipped the TV off and the movie on. You can make big changes and add supposed talent to the roster. You can claim the expectations are higher, but in the NFL all of that is akin to powdering a woman’s nose and calling her wife material before your first date. You still have to be right upstairs or nothing else matters. The unfortunate reality is...

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Jairus Byrd's second interception of the game set up Rian Lindell's 25-yard field goal 3:50 into overtime that gave the Buffalo Bills a 19-16 victory over the Cardinals on Sunday. The loss ended Arizona's eight-game home winning streak. Byrd picked off a pass from John Skelton, who had replaced the injured Kevin Kolb, and returned it 29 yards...

Statistic of the Week: 4.78

Joe has given me the opportunity to write a weekly piece here at Buffalo Wins and I’d like to thank him for that. The weekly piece will likely come every Monday morning and essentially revolve around one statistic that I feel is central to the team’s performance that week, or over the past few weeks, positive or negative. Given the bizarre (to put it nicely) nature of this...
