On the first night of free agency, the Lions brass and quarterback Matthew Stafford took running back Reggie Bush to Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse in Birmingham, Michigan in an effort to woo him to Detroit. As they say, the rest is history as Bush signed a four-year $16 million contract with the Lions the next day.
As much as how Bush will be used in the Lions’ offense – they say he will be used how he was with New Orleans – the meal at Hyde Park played a role as well. To continue their effort to welcome Bush to Detroit, the steakhouse has honored Bush with a ribeye named after him. Bush was back at Hyde Park in the last few days and tweeted a picture of the honor.
