According to Spikes’ trainer Pete Bommarito, he is trying to shed the label in hopes of landing a contract that reflects well rounded linebacker.
Coming out of college Spikes 40 times was over 5.00 mark and that is offensive and defensive linemen numbers, not elite linebackers so working on his athleticism and speed will go a long way to improve his overall game.
