TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed two more free agents more Monday -- safety Major Wright and wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins.
Wright, a four-year veteran, has 253 tackles, 18 passes defensed and nine interceptions in his time in the NFL, all with the Chicago Bears. The native of Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., entered the league in the third round, 75th overall, out of Florida.
Hawkins, a six-year veteran, has 71 catches for 771 yards with one touchdown in a career that has included stops with the Tennessee Titans (2008-12) and San Diego Chargers (2013). The native of Stockton, Calif., entered the NFL in the fourth round, 126th overall, out of California. He played under Bucs offensive coordinator Jeff Tedford when in college.
