CBSSports.com and Wire Reports recapped the Colts' mixed-feeling-inducing win over the Browns yesterday. It looks like they came out of it with a much more positive impression of our Colts:
The victory came in typical Pagano style.
Indy (3-3) controlled the ball for more than 35 minutes, ran for a season-high 148 yards, held Cleveland to 55 yards on the ground, and finished with two stops in Colts territory before finally forcing the last man with the ball out of bounds on the final play.
Many local fans have expressed concern over how difficult it was for the team to put away the lowly Browns, not to mention that the defensive struggle came without the home team forcing a single sack or turnover (the fumble on the final play notwithstanding). But the national media sees reason to garner hope from this ugly, maybe even hideous win. Thanks, national media. Go Colts.
