Over the past two years, the San Diego Chargers have become synonymous with blackouts. It looked like the team’s fourth preseason game versus the San Fransisco 49ers was in danger of being blacked-out however, according to the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken, the team will receive an 24-hour extension to sell 1,100 tickets.

The Chargers also received an extension on the first preseason game versus the Seahawks. That time the team had 1,800 tickets to sell to avoid the blackout.
To avoid blackouts it’s simple; just win. That is something the Chargers have struggled with since 2009, the last time the team made the playoffs.

There has been a lot of speculation about San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. Coming off his worst two seasons in his NFL career, many football experts feel that his time in the NFL is almost over. Good news for San Diego Chargers rookie linebacker Manti Te'o, as he's reportedly out of the walking boot he's had on since after his preseaosn debut, according to Mike Florio of ProFootBallTalk.com.
The Chargers were gifted one of the craziest touchdowns of the 2013 NFL preseason on a double fumble against the Cardinals this weekend. In the second quarter of the San Diego-Arizona matchup on Saturday night, Chargers running back Ryan Mathews fumbled the ball at the goal line and the ball was recovered by Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson, who then (for some reason) attempted...
Manti Te'o hopes he's given the boot to a walking boot he's worn on his sprained right foot since Aug. 9, the day after the San Diego Chargers' exhibition opener.
The rookie linebacker was out of the boot Tuesday, although he hasn't been cleared to practice.
''It's a big step for me to take that boot off and see where it goes from there,''...
Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd has returned to practice two weeks after straining his right knee in a collision with cornerback Shareece Wright.
Floyd says it was nice to be on the field with his teammates rather than doing work on the side. He caught passes from Philip Rivers during individual drills and says he was in and out of team drills.

The third week of the preseason is the dress rehearsal game for all NFL teams, as the preparation and execution of a gameplan must be regular season-worthy. San Diego Chargers’ receiver Malcom Floyd strained his knee back on August 12th. It looked so bad that the team feared a torn ACL for it’s starting receiver. Almost two weeks later, the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken is reporting that Floyd is back at practice and is on track to play week one.
Even Floyd himself feared he had torn all the tendons in his knee and that his career...
