NFL Injury Report:
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without quarterback Brady
Quinn and defensive lineman Glenn Dorsey, who’s been placed on the team’s
injured reserve, but they have several players, including running back Jamaal
Charles, listed as probable to play tonight against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Quinn sustained a concussion and will be replaced by former
Chiefs’ starting quarterback Matt Cassel. Kansas City had said the starting job
was Quinn’s following Cassel’s disappointing start to the season, but he
remains out with his head injury.
Dorsey had been ruled out earlier in the week due to a calf
injury, but it’s now reported that it will send the defensive lineman to the
IR, ending his season.
Along with Charles (neck), offensive lineman Jeff Allen
(head), defensive back Javier Arenas (head), wide receivers Terrance Copper
(calf) and Devon Wylie (hamstring) and running back Nate Eachus (head) are all
expected to play. The Chiefs have offensive lineman Brandon Albert (back) and
Ryan Lilja (neck) and tight end Steve Maneri (ankle) listed as questionable
against the Steelers.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Chiefs have placed defensive lineman Gleen Dorsey on season ending injured reserve.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com also believes that Dorsey is likely done as a member of the Chiefs He’ll become a free agent after the season.
As @jasonlacanfora reported, Chiefs DL Glenn Dorsey is headed to Injured Reserve, I’m told. Expect him to leave...
There were high hopes coming into the 2012 season for the Kansas City Chiefs. They had a solid offseason, adding Stanford Rout, Eric Winston, and Peyton Hillis to a team that already had some good talent. The fans had hopes of their first postseason win since January of 1994 but the playoffs are the furthest thing from their mind now. Fans are now focused on what needs to be done...
Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn says he was cleared by a Pittsburgh doctor before Monday night’s loss to the Steelers, per Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star.
“I’m real excited,” Quinn said, via Covitz. “I was glad to be able to come with the team and being around them again because it stinks not being around these guys and not feeling like you’re a part of them.”...
Romeo Crennel and his 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs who are now 1-8 not by choice gave the Pittsburgh Steelers one hell of a battle on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs knock Big Ben Roethlisberger out of the contest and nearly knocked out the backup Byron Leftwich too. Crennel’s defense was very physical in the game and were hitting with a mission to knock people out of the game. The...
The 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs were penalized in their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night for excessive celebration on a touchdown that didn’t end up counting. I didn’t even know that was possible. The Steelers had a third-and-seven play from their 26 during the third quarter when backup quarterback Byron Leftwich had the ball knocked out of his hand. Linebacker...
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn is inactive for Monday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the second straight game he will miss due to a concussion.
Matt Cassel will start for the Chiefs and Ricky Stanzi will be the backup. Wide receiver Steve Breaston is also inactive for Kansas City.
The Steelers made safety Troy Polamalu inactive for the fifth straight...
In a season during which very little has gone right for the Kansas City Chiefs this season, running back Jamaal Charles is the exception.
A year removed from a knee injury that limited him to just two games, Charles is ninth in the NFL in rushing and perhaps the only reliable weapon the struggling Chiefs (1-7) have on offense heading into Monday night's game against surging...
Welcome back, drinking game fans.
My apologies for taking last week off. I have no good excuses, so I will ask you to accept this video of a chimpanzee riding a Segway as a token of my regret and a thank you for you returning this week.
Wasn’t that awesome?
Now, when we last talked we were prepping for the 49ers to beat down the Cardinals, and they followed through nicely....
Before playing five games within the division to end the season, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Pittsburgh.
The Chiefs are tied with the Jaguars for the fewest wins in the NFL this season, with one. The Steelers are holding onto the last playoff spot in the AFC, so this game is a must-win for them if they intend to make the playoffs.
Mike Tomlin and...
Unless you are a fan of either team, or need you need your kicker to win your fantasy week like me – there isn’t much to watch in this dud of a Monday nighter to conclude week 10. I was big on the Chiefs this year, and wrote off last season due to their injuries. They run the ball well, and have above average talent on defence, and a big target at WR in Dwayne Bowe. I solely...
When the Kansas City Chiefs took the Pittsburgh Steelers into overtime, with a last second game tying field goal, there was a glimmer of hope that the season could turn around. But in the end, the franchise killer struck once again.
Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel wouldn't say who his starting quarterback will be for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Brady Quinn (concussion) has been cleared. SOURCE: Adam Teicher, Kansas City StarFantasy Spin:It shouldn't matter the fantasy owners. We just hope whomever Crennel chooses can get the ball to Dwayne Bowe and increase his rapidly shrinking fantasy value.
