According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent running back Peyton Hillis to a one-year, $3 million deal.
The combination of Hillis and Jamaal Charles will be a nice one-two punch for the Chiefs that can help set up the pass for quarterback Matt Cassel.

Free Agency, Browns running back is entertaining an offer from the Kansas City Chiefs. Hillis has said he wanted to return to the Browns, many think the offer the Browns put on the table last summer is the offer Hillis should have taken. I say it will be interesting to see if Hillis remains in Cleveland. I’ll bet the head coach of the Chiefs really wants to add Hillis to the Chiefs...
Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs signed free agent running back Peyton Hillis to a one year deal worth $3 million.
Hillis, who has spent the past two seasons in Cleveland, reunites with former Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, now in the same position with Kansas City.
The Arkansas product had his best season under Daboll's guidance in...
Hillis has run for greener pastures
One year ago at this time, I would have said there was a .005% chance of me ever writing the headline (and certainly not in one year’s time), “Hillis gone to Chiefs, good riddance.” Yet, here we are on the eve of March Madness, and that thought is the first and only thing that comes to mind upon reading Espn’s report that Hillis agreed...
Star defensive end Mario Williams will be taking his services to Buffalo next year to play for the Bills. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Williams has signed a 6-year deal with the Bills worth up to 100 Million, with 50 Million guaranteed. Before being hampered by injuries last year, Williams was one of the best DE’s in the league. The former first pick in the 2006 draft has...
The Houston Texans have reportedly cut backup quarterback Matt Leinart. The former Heisman trophy winner and 10th pick in the 2006 draft will now try to kick-start his career somewhere else.
Brandon Meriweather is a player who goes through plenty of ups and downs, which is one of the reasons the Patriots cut ties with him last September. The Denver Broncos apparently like his upside, though, as they'll be hosting the free-agent safety on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Meriweather, the 75th-rated free agent on Pro Football Talk's Hot 100 list...
On NFL Live today ESPN analyst Adam Schefter made it seem like the Steelers were going to keep Mike Wallace for 2012. He said no teams are going to make a move on Wallace “unless circumstances change.” This is due to the free agent market for Wide Receivers. The price for these guys has been ridiculous this offseason.
The price for Wallace plus a first round pick may turn...
Cornerback Brandon Carr has agreed to a five-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys worth $50.1M, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Carr was the most sought after cornerback on the free agent market behind Cortland Finnegan, and Dallas should be thrilled they were able to reel him in after fielding a porous secondary in 2011. And releasing declining 33-year-old vet Terence...
The San Francisco 49ers surprised everyone earlier in the week when they signed Randy Moss to a contract to play wide receiver. They now seem to have an even bigger surprise for the league.
Reports from Adam Schefter have the 9ers as the third team, along with the Titans and Broncos, fighting for the services of Peyton Manning. The Dolphins were told no, and it seems that the Cardinals...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Minnesota Vikings have signed tight end John Carlson to a five-year $25 million contract.
Carlson played his previous three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
Carlson has a total of 137 receptions, 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns during his three-year career.
