Cleveland Browns' coach Rob Chudzinski hasn't announced if Jason Campbell or Brian Hoyer will start at QB this weekend against Minnesota. It seems Brandon Weeden will miss at least this game, and depending on who you believe, it could be significantly longer. With the way the Browns' season has begun, this gives them an excellent reason to take a look at Brian Hoyer.
Weeden has been terrible so far this season. He has looked nervous and indecisive in the pocket. He missed a wide-open Chris Ogbonnaya for a sure TD last week. He is only completing 54% of his passes. He's averaging 6.00 yards per attempt, which is 28th in the league. He has 1 TD and 3 Interceptions. His QB rating of 62.0 is ahead of only Geno Smith and Blaine Gabbart, and his QBR of 20.3 leads only Gabbart. Most importantly, the offense has only generated 16 points.
The offensive struggles are not all on Weeden, though. The offensive line has been horrible. Weeden has been sacked a leagu...

Enter Brian Hoyer who joined the team as the third string quarterback in the offseason...
Browns third-string quarterback Brian Hoyer will start Sunday against Minnesota in place of Brandon Weeden, who sprained his right thumb last week. Cleveland surprisingly decided to go with Hoyer over more experienced backup Jason Campbell. This is a very surprise move by the Browns, but I honestly feel that Hoyer is a better quarterback than […]

Brandon Weeden, the 29 year-old sophomore quarterback, will not start this Sunday against he Vikings due to a thumb injury.
Furthermore, it looks like Weeden will not be guaranteed to be the starter once he is fully healthy.
Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski had this to say:
“I don’t really see it as that. We’ll see how things are going, how Brandon is doing from a health...
Brian Hoyer, starting NFL Cleveland Browns quarterback. Trent Richardson, Indianapolis Colts running back. Say what you like about tanking a season to try and draft a franchise QB. At least it’s an ethos. This team wasn’t going anywhere with Brandon Weeden, anyway.
And even apart from Mike Lombardi’s impeccable track record, no one has a clearer direction than Joe Banner, nor...
One down, one to go. The Browns will probably cut quarterback Brandon Weeden next. They are cleaning house in Cleveland, they are removing the mistakes the last regime made in the 2012 draft. No team in their right mind would have drafted Brandon Weeden in the first round of a NFL draft. People are thinking the Browns are throwing the towel in on the 2013 season with the Richardson...
The Cleveland Browns have made it pretty clear this week that they are building for the future and, for lack of a better term, tanking this season. The 0-2 squad made two moves on Wednesday that seem to indicate they are trying to position themselves to land the top overall pick in the 2014 NFL […]
Browns coach Rob Chudzinski isn’t ready to commit to Jason Campbell or Brian Hoyer as the team’s starting quarterback for Week 3 even though Brandon Weeden will likely be sidelined Sunday with a sprained right thumb against the host Minnesota Vikings.

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden's sprained right thumb could keep him out of this week's game at Minnesota.

So, here's your Cleveland Browns news!
The new regime under Michael Lombardi just made a rare blockbuster move, trading last year's first round pick Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2014 first rounder, according to SI.
Richardson has struggled with injuries in his young career, but has at times shown why he was drafted so high. This makes the Indianapolis...
