Last night during Super Bowl 47, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked young and showed his first signs of being a little rattled during a game. Kaepernick still had an awesome game with 302 yards passing and 62 rushing yards.  After the game in a move that displays class, maturity, and leadership, Kaepernick put it all on him, and told CSNBay Area that he made to many mistakes for his team to win. “I feel like I made too many mistakes for us to win,” Kaepernick said. “Things weren’t working in the first half,” Kaepernick said. “We just didn’t finish our drives. We turned the ball over a couple times. That was the difference in the game.” “We stopped ourselves,” Kaepernick said. Colin Kaepernick is only 25 years old, and even with a Super Bowl run has still only started 11 total ball games,  He will be fine and one of the more dynamic playmaking quarterbacks in the NFL for years to come.

  • I think Colin did an incredible job for a player in his position! You can't fault a guy in his situation and ony 25 years old. Harbaugh has had what, 2 years playoff experience and his brother has 8? Make no mistake: the Niners should NOT have been the favorites. As a Niner fan I can say in all objectivity that the Niners (given their current personnel) should be back in the playoffs again next season. Lets see what Colin does in the off season. Flacco... will he get better? Maybe... become a mobile QB? No. Can Colin be a better pocket passer... Yes! Lewis is gone... so goes the heart of the Ravens. You don't just replace Lewis. I believe the Niners will be back... Do it Colin!
  • A lot of poise and class for a 2nd year man.
  • I'm not saying CK doesn't have class; I think he does; but it's not class to take full responsibility for a TEAM losing a game. That's just youthful inexperience talking. You win as a TEAM and you lose as a TEAM. Had the 49ers won, would he have taken full credit for it? He can apologize for his mistakes, but he wasn't the only one making them. For example, he had nothing to do with Torrey Smith being able to catch a badly underthrown pass, fallng down backwards, then being able to get up and still scamper into the end zone.
All week long he was telling the media not to focus on him, that it was all about the team and not him. Now he wants to say it was all him? It's an admirable attitude, but it's wrong.
  • Get your facts Mokoda it was Jacoby Jones that did the scampering. CK should have showed a little more poise on the last series, he was probably thinking which tat to kiss when if he got his team into the endzone.

The Super Bowl Power Outage Didn’t Help Kaepernick, He Is Just That Good.

When the lights went out at the Super Bowl you could tell the Ravens head coach was worried about his team cooling off and Colin Kaepernick and his San Fransisco 49ers team gaining an advantage in the game. At the time the Ravens were in full control until the lights went out. That wasn’t the reason the 49ers and Kaepernick were able to come back and make a game out of the Super...

‘Kaepernicking’ was Colin Kaepernick’s response to tattoo article

Colin Kaepernick‘s touchdown celebration of kissing his biceps inspired a social media trend much like “Tebowing” or “Griffining.” Though “Kaepernicking” appears to be kissing one’s biceps in celebration, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback says there’s more to the act than just that. Kaepernick defines “Kaepernicking” as kissing one’s tattoos. He told CBS’...

The Media Has Resorted To Hyping Up Just How Boring Colin Kaepernick’s Interviews Are

Have we run out of storylines yet? Pretty much, yes. After doggedly reporting on the various verbal gaffes and screwy pronouncements emanating from the Ravens and 49ers this week, national football league writers turned to Colin Kaepernick and decided they needed an identifiable character trait that went beyond "new," "tattooed," and "adopted." They...

For Kaepernick and 49ers, this was only the beginning of something special

The 49ers came to New Orleans hoping to attain the franchise’s sixth championship titles. The “Quest For Six” became the team’s and fans’ mantra throughout the postseason, especially the week leading up to the Super Bowl. But it’s a mantra that will have to wait another year. The Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII, 34-31, and send the 49ers back to the Bay Area empty-handed...

8 Amazing Stats from Super Bowl XLVII

Looking Into The Pistol

New terms like “Read option” and “Pistol” have been introduced to the average football fan’s vocabulary. With anything new, there is a period of adjustment that is to be expected. It seemed like only yesterday that successful NFL offenses were slinging the football all over the field and a glorified 7-on-7 drill was the future of the game. Quarterbacks like Drew Brees,...

Who wins on Super Sunday?

It all comes down to this. The Ravens will dace the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on Sunday evening. All we’ve heard about is the dynamic Colin Kaepernick, but Joe Flacco has been forgotten about all week. Flacco has eight touchdowns and no interceptions in his three postseason games. He has also engineered long drives against solid defenses. The Ravens...

After long delay, 49ers score touchdown

A power outage that lasted 34 minutes paused the play in the Super Bowl. On the second full possession after power came back on, the San Francisco 49ers finally got on the board. Colin Kaepernick hit Michael Crabtree, who bounced off of Cary Williams and Bernard Pollard, for a touchdown. The Ravens lead 28-13 with a little more than seven minutes to go in the third quarter.

49ers will remember missed opportunities

NEW ORLEANS - The 49ers will remember their final drive of Super Bowl XLVII as a series of missed opportunities. The Ravens went up 34-29 with 4:19 remaining on a Justin Tucker field goal, but San Francisco, riding a momentous swing in their favor after a 33-minute power outage to overcome a 28-6 deficit, was carving through Baltimore's defense from all angles. Running back...

The power failure happened immediately following...
