Now Jason Garrett Says He Might Give Up Play-Calling Duties for Dallas Cowboys
Just when it seemed things were going to quiet down, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett stirred the pot again. Everyone remembers the recent long, drawn-out, meaningless explanation by Garrett and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about how Dallas’ head coach will always call the offensive plays. Well now Garrett is on record saying he will give up the duties, but he didn’t say...
Cowboys Need More Players Who HATE To Lose
Most of the time I hardly agree with anything JJT has to say, but I must say he is spot on with this post in which he calls into questions the Cowboys’ inability to come through in the clutch.
Jason Garrett can fix the Cowboys. First, though, he must stop lying to himself. He can add a pass-rusher from the draft, or a guard and a cornerback in free agency – and it still...
Cowboys' new OC has serious credentials
Either Cowboys owner Jerry Jones or head coach Jason Garrett threw the organization's loyal fans a bone when Bill Callahan was hired to take over as offensive line coachoffensive coordinator last week. This isn't an earthshattering move, but it does feel like an admission that Garrett could use a little help on the sideline.
And knowing how loyal Garrett was to longtime...
Jason Garrett Willing to Give Up Play-calling Duties
On Thursday, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said that he would be willing to give up play-calling duties, but it won’t happen in 2012.
“Absolutely, absolutely,” Garrett said when he was asked if he’ll give up play=calling one day. “I think you just get to a point where, ‘Hey, I’m going to turn that over to somebody else,’...
Dallas Cowboys News: Jason Garrett’s Play-Calling Duties and Swapping Tackles
The Cowboys generated a few news items worth noting this week.
With the hiring of Bill Callahan as offensive coordinator, Jason Garrett suggested that he might delegate play-calling duties. However, he has waffled on this point, and nobody is sure what will happen.
In other news, the Cowboys returned to babysitting duties with Dez Bryant. When they weren’t doing that, they...

Cowboys talk to WR Bryant about altercation at club
Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett admitted that team officials have talked to wide receiver Dez Bryant about an altercation at a Miami Beach night club.
Bryant was involved in a skirmish outside Club Liv on Sunday, ESPN Dallas reported. Miami police detailed that the wideout was detained - but not arrested - and there was no police report filed.
"I have not spoken to him...
Staff Meeting
Jason Garrett has his eye on a strong offseason, starting with two new staff hires. He will continue to call plays, with new offensive coordinator/O-line coach Bill Callahan providing a veteran presence.

Will the Dallas Cowboys have a Changing of the Guard?
Why can’t our Cowboys get over the hump? Why can’t we seem to play at our best all the time? Simple answer, we lose in the trenches. As a Cowboys fan and as a former offensive lineman (from my high school days), I was stoked when I saw Tyron Smith’s phone ringing with Jason Garrett on the other line. How many times in the past week did you see on the ESPN...
Garrett: Moving Tyron Smith To Left Tackle "Certainly A Posibility"
After a season of Tyron Smith at right tackle and Doug Free at left, the Dallas Cowboys are open to the idea of flipping the two, employing their 2011 first round pick Smith as the protector of Tony Romo’s blindside, in 2012.
In the introduction of the Cowboys’ new-look coaching staff on Thursday, head coach Jason Garrett responded to the idea, which has been floating...
Cowboys OTs Doug Free, Tyron Smith Could Switch Sides
Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett confirmed that the team is considering having offensive tackles Doug Free and Tyron Smith switch sides in 2012, Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. "It's certainly a possibility," Garrett said. "That was a possibility when we first drafted Tyron, and one of the many things that was attractive about him...
Cowboys Plan On Bringing In Assistant For Jerome Henderson
For the past four seasons, coaching the Dallas Cowboys’ secondary has been a two-man job, and it appears that the team wants to keep it that way.
Between 2008 and last season, Dave Campo and Brett Maxie coached the secondary together, with Campo handling the cornerbacks and Maxie dealing with the safeties.
Now, both of those guys are gone--Campo will become the defensive...
