Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Cole Beasley, got some apparent good news Friday night, when the X-Rays on his foot came back negative. “It’s not broken,” Beasley said. “I’m not sure what it really is, but I should be good soon. I’m just happy it’s not broken.” Though the foot may not have been broken, Beasley will miss some time after an MRI showed the 24-year-old had suffered sprained ligaments and bone bruising in his left foot. The second-year receiver had three catches for 49 yards and a touchdown on Friday, before leaving the game. He was injured on a 23 yard reception and immediately taken in for the X-Rays. Beasley continues to vie for the Cowboys' slot receiver position alongside Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. His toughest competition comes from third round draft pick, Terrance Williams. Williams had missed the first two preseason games after suffering a concussion, but was back on the practice field Sunday. Any time that Beasley misses is valuable, even though the ligament injury isn't very serious. With veterans Anthony Armstrong and Dwayne Harris also fighting for a position on the Cowboy's roster, Beasley will need a swift recovery. He has plenty of upside but needs to continue to show that he is both more capable, and valuable than his fellow receivers, in order to keep his job.  Follow @TheNFLInjuryRp Looking for fantasy football advice?
