ProfootbalTalk put out an article today where that gave the fans a voice. Fans voted for Tom Landry, Emmitt Smith, Roger Staubach, and Troy Aikman as the members of the Cowboys’ Mt. Rushmore. While I really like the idea of having Landry, Emmitt and Staubach I disagree with the Aikman spot, I like Tony Dorsett and Michael Irvin. What do you think fans? Did they do a good job?  I like this idea, I just wondered what other Cowboys player could have been up there?

Jason Garrett officially earns the title ‘lame duck’: Jerry Jones reiterates that offensive coordinator Bill Callahan will call plays

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett is a dead man walking and owner Jerry Jones is leading his parade. In another episode of ‘Dallas’ Jones confirmed that offensive coordinator coach Bill Callahan will be calling the offensive plays. Garrett was critical when asked who would be calling plays, saying ‘it was still in the process,’ too bad that process didn’t include the...

Root of Cowboys' coaching drama stems from Johnson

Blame Jimmy Johnson. This latest Cowboys cluster bleep and forcibly prying play-calling duties from coach Jason Garrett's now hog-tied hands qualifies as yet another in a long line of them has origins in The Jimster. When Cowboys owner Jerry Jones drunkenly dished "any one of 500 coaches could have won those Super Bowls" and Jimmy basically said "have fun with...

Who's really in charge of the Cowboys' offense?

In the aftermath of the Cowboys' bumbling announcement that Bill Callahan will call offensive plays in 2013, it's time to take a closer look at how this happened. Owner Jerry Jones made it pretty clear he wanted this change soon after the Cowboys missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season. But he never made any public demands of that nature, allowing at least the...

Jerry Jones: “Probably unlikely” Tony Romo participates in mini-camp

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that it’s “probably unlikely” that quarterback Tony Romo will participate in this month’s mandatory mini-camp after undergoing surgery to remove a cyst from his back. “I don’t know. Bill Callahan Is Now Calling The Plays - And Yes, It Matters

The delivery of the news is "uniquely Jerry" where communication skills seem forever stuck in reverse, and complete with comedy ensuing. Think about the true joy of being a principle member (Say, Bill Callahan or Jason Garrett) of a rather significant news story and surrounded by the leering press and to be asked about questions where you are not sure whether or not your...

Callahan to call plays for Cowboys

Jason Garrett has finally acknowledged that he won't call plays for the Dallas Cowboys next season. The Cowboys coach said Tuesday that Bill Callahan will assume a role Garrett has had since joining the Dallas staff in 2007. Garrett said the decision was made five months ago but he was reluctant to share it because he's been around coaches who never revealed play-callers...

Herm Edwards Cuts to the Chase on Dez Bryant

ESPN is chock full of personalities and on occasion some of them actually make sense when they talk about things sports related--like when former NFL head coach Herm Edwards spoke about Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant recently. Bryant is an exceptional talent; there is no arguing that. Like Edwards said, there is more to success than talent. The most gifted players...

Troy Aikman accidentally tweets direct message to actress

Troy Aikman isn't married, but if he was, he'd likely be on the couch. On Thursday, the former Cowboys quarterback and current FOX announcer accidentally tweeted what should have been a direct message to actress and realtor Mari Morrow. The now-infamous tweet has since been deleted, but a screenshot popped up, as nothing truly disappears from the internet. Aside from...

Steve Austin Rips Tony Romo – Gets Mainstream Press

Austin recently spoke about Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, stating the following… “My problem with Dallas is I think Tony Romo is a damn good quarterback, but he sh-ts the bed at the most inopportune times. So when I look for leadership, I can’t say that Tony Romo is the clear-cut leader.” FOX...

Troy Aikman Still Struggling With His Twitter Accuracy

Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman still has some work to do on his Twitter game. Troy thought he was sending a direct message to Mari Morrow recently, but unfortunately he Tweeted it just as a normal Tweet. The result was a soon to be deleted Tweet and a cute little message to a very pretty lady. It was harmless and a pretty funny insight into Troy’s personal relationships...

Troy Aikman sends embarrassing failed DM to Mari Morrow

Troy Aikman should probably wait until he has a better grasp of how Twitter works before he starts trying to spit game to the ladies.
