Found June 21, 2013 on NFL Draft Zone:
The Cowboys just announced they had signed second-rounder Gavin Escobar, the 47th overall pick. That leaves only first-rounder Travis Frederick without a deal among their seven picks. Escobar could make an early impact for the Cowboys, as they’ve made a point that they want to use two-tight end sets more often this year. While veteran Jason Witten will remain the primary target, Escobar has good hands, and should get his chances as well. The Cowboys made Escobar the 47th overall pick despite the presence of perennial Pro Bowler Jason Witten, re-committing to using two tight ends as the base offense. The hope is that Escobar, unlike former Dallas second-rounders Anthony Fasano and Martellus Bennett, will be an impact player in the passing game for the Cowboys, particularly the red zone. However, Escobar will have to beat out 2012 sixth-round pick James Hanna to get the majority of the work with Witten in two-tight end sets this season.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback B.W. Webb is a superstar in the making

Before the start of the season last year, I had B.W. Webb as the top small school cornerback in the game. I had him higher than Robert Alford and every other small school player, for one simple fact, HEART. I watched almost every William and Mary game of B.W. and I was impressed at his cover skills. Webb is not afraid of taking on the big name wide receiver, and he never shies away...

The Dallas Cowboys have seen enough of Anthony Hargrove, Released today

Today the Dallas Cowboys released former New Orleans Saint Anthony Hargrove. That didn’t last long. Hargrove, 30 in July, was signed just over a month ago. He didn’t do a whole lot at OTAs or minicamp, mainly working off to the side. Hargrove hasn’t played in a game since Week 17 of the 2011 season. This is not looking good for the veteran defensive lineman. Maybe he can just...

Cowboys RB Phillip Tanner looks to get noticed in crowded backfield

Dallas Cowboys running back Phillip Tanner may just be the odd man out this season with the team currently holding a stable of backs. DeMarco Murray is the starter, followed by Lance Dunbar, rookie Joseph Randle, undrafted rookie Kendial Lawrence and veteran fullback Lawrence Vickers. Tanner saw limited play time last season with only 25 carries for 61 yards, but this offseason...

Tony Romo not fazed by Top 100 omission

Tony Romo's peers don't consider the Dallas Cowboys quarterback to be one of the Top 100 players in the NFL. They also don't consider Romo to be one of the top 14 quarterbacks. On Thursday, NFL Network continued to reveal their top 100 players of 2013 by showing the players ranked between 11 and 20. Romo didn't make the cut, but four other quarterbacks did, meaning...

IRVING, Texas Dallas Cowboys lineman Josh Brent's bond hearing was originally scheduled for Friday morning but has been delayed by a month postponing the possibility that the athlete will be jailed and have his bond revoked for allegedly failed a drug test while awaiting trial on intoxication manslaughter charges resulting from being the driver in a one-car crash that killed...

Cowboys sign 2nd-round pick, only 1st-rounder left

IRVING, Texas (AP) -- The Dallas Cowboys have signed tight end Gavin Escobar, their second-round draft pick. With Escobar's deal Friday, the only of the team's seven draft picks unsigned is Travis Frederick. The Wisconsin center was selected 31st overall. Escobar, the 47th overall pick in April, played 39 career games for San Diego State. He had 122 catches for 1,646 yards...

A Productive But Uneven Career  Tony Romo is set to begin his 11th season as a Dallas Cowboy, and has been the team’s starter since 2006. Cowboys cut DE Hargrove

The Dallas Cowboys have released defensive end Anthony Hargrove, a little more than a month after signing the nine-year NFL veteran to a one-year deal. The Cowboys announced Hargrove's release Thursday. Hargrove sat out the 2012 season after he was suspended as part of the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal. Hargrove was given an eight-game ban after the NFL said the Saints...

Cowboys release DL Anthony Hargrove

IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys released defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, two sources tell FoxSports.com, not due to any of his burdensome behavioral issues but rather because as one team executive states, "his body didn't bounce back from a year away from football." Last month, the Cowboys signed Hargrove, 29, to a one-year, veteran-minimum contract hoping...

Fantasy Profile: Dez Bryant

2012 Recap:  I have been waiting since his rookie campaign for Dez to be a breakout star.  In 2012, it happened.  Dez used his supreme talent to make big plays and finished as the #1 fantasy WR over the last 8 games of the season thanks to his fantastic 18.4 FPG on 50/879/10.  Dez Bryant played all 16 games for the first time in his career, but his rate stats were also career...
