Outside the Boxscore:
Previously on Outside the Boxscore, we featured a video of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones getting his glasses cleaned by his son-in-law, Shy Anderson.
Well, it looks like that Jerry got the joke and has decided to cash in on the humor of it all. The Cowboys will start selling Jerry Wipes to help clean your glasses, seriously...this is real:
After days of ribbing about the incident, Shy may get the last laugh
with a new product that will soon be offered in the Cowboys’ online
store. He has designed and ordered eyeglass-cleaning cloths with the
words “Jerry Wipes” printed on them.
“They can also be used for spontaneous shoe shining, if necessary,” he says with a chuckle. Is he serious?
“Absolutely,” he says. “It started out as a joke, but let’s see how far we can take it.”
In the same interview with the Dallas Morning News, Shy decided to explain what happened during the infamous moment:
Jerry never talks to anybody during the game,” says Shy. “He is so

The Dallas Cowboys injuries list doesn't seem to be getting much shorter.
Of course, preliminary injury reports don't come out until Thursday, but this is the Dallas Cowboys. Every little tidbit of news is scrutinized so heavily, that we can pretty safely analyze the report even before it comes out. Also a big shout out of thanks to Jerry Jones, who seems to comment...
(Eds: APNewsNow. With AP Photos.) By STEPHEN HAWKINS AP Sports Writer Ryan Cook was playing against the Dallas Cowboys in the preseason finale only a couple of weeks ago.
Now Cook is preparing to start in the middle of the Cowboys' restructured offensive front Sunday at Seattle. He was already snapping to Tony Romo and making line calls only two series into the season opener...
Last week: 17 (+2)
The Cowboys beat the Giants because Tony Romo had one of the best games of his career. However, they committed 13 penalties, which could have easily derailed them, but Tony Romo wouldn’t let it happen and kept coming up with big throw after big throw. They’ll be right in the NFC East mix, where all 4 teams are evenly matched, but they’ll have...
IRVING It is, in a sense, the best 15,750 that Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Tyron Smith will ever spend. Sources tell 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, the NFL has ordered the 21-year-old budding standout to pay for his horse-collar of the Giants' Michael Boley part of a game-turning tackle of Boley following his interception. Smith's tackle was followed by his defensive teammates...
According to Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett indicated that he expects tight end Jason Witten to be himself this week after not being a factor at all during last week’s win over the Giants.
Garrett on Witten being better this week: we expect Witt to be Witt.

With Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins working his way back into football shape after missing the entire offseason and preseason due to a shoulder injury, owner Jerry Jones has been impressed with what he’s seen so far.
“I’d obviously like to see him out there on all of our money packages, nickel, dime, all of that,” Jones said on 105.3 [KRLD-FM] The Fan’s New School...
It took less than 24 hours for the initial batch of "Jerry Wipes" to sell out on the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop, but more will be made available.
Tight end Colin Cochart was waived by the Cowboys. Cochart was claimed on waivers from the Bengals on Sept. 1 and kept on the 53-man roster in case tight end Jason Witten couldn't play in the opener at New York. Cochart wasn't needed because Witten played, and he didn't travel with the team to New Jersey. The Cowboys did not make a corresponding move to fill the...
