According to a brief mention in one of Maiocco’s latest articles. It looks as if Dashon Goldson is looking for a deal like Eric Weddle landed.
Goldson has yet to sign his franchise tender, that will pay him $6.212 million this season. In order to get Goldson signed to a long-term deal he is looking for a deal similar to the five-year, $40 million deal safety Eric Weddle signed last year with the Chargers.
Now the question after Goldson signs his tender is, are the 49ers willing to give Goldson $8 million a year? I don’t see them giving Goldson that type of deal.

Jim Harbaugh denies pursuing Peyton Manning ‘it’s phony, erroneous’
It’s confirmed: Jim Harbaugh could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Or at least he’d try to if it was in the best interest of his football team.
The 49ers coach spoke to the media on Wednesday and attempted to spin the reports that said the team pursued Peyton Manning in March.
“There’s a perception out there, and it’s an erroneous perception, that...
49ers QB Colin Kaepernick More Comfortable In Offense
For second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick, having an offseason to master the 49ers offense has been a welcomed change. Kaepernick has been throwing with the Niners receivers, including Randy Moss, and is working on getting the ball out quicker, making the right reads and otherwise getting comfortable with what's being asked of him. "I feel like I'm leaps and bounds...

What's The Point Of Calling Shots, This Cue Ain't Straight In Line
I know I start a lot of posts this way, but I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to get back here. Twitter has made it a lot easier to get "that one point" across, but makes it less likely that I'll try to build an entire installment around it. I was all set to write about the draft when Junior Seau passed away. Since then I've been working on about...
