Jahvid Best serves as a reminder of just how damaging concussions can be.

When the explosive running back was healthy, he made the Detroit Lions so good that it was scary.

After missing the 2013-13 season due to the most recent in a line of concussions that date back to his pre-NFL days, Best will probably be forced to retire before his career ever really got started.
