This game between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions could clarify which team is going to contend with the Green Bay Packers for second place in the NFC North and possibly a Wild Card berth.  We know the Lions will bring in the aerial assault featuring Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, but what will the Vikings do on offense with Percy Harvin expected to miss the game.Jerome Simpson will have his first 100-yard receiving game as a Viking. Even though Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has been struggling lately, this could be the game that gets him back on track.  Harvin's injury opens the door up for Jerome Simpson to be the No. 1 receiver for the Vikings this week. With how poor the Vikings have been passing recently and with how well Adrian Peterson has been running the ball, I fully expect the Lions to focus more on the running attack than passing game come Sunday. This would create the perfect scenario for Simpson to go under the radar and have a huge receiving game.Calvin Johnson will find the end zone and snap his recent touchdown drought. Little do many people know but star wide receiver Calvin Johnson only has one touchdown on the year so far. Let that be known as possibly the main reason the Lions are last in the NFC North right now.The Lions possess one of the best receivers in the game and has only been able to get him the ball in the end zone once all year. That's why I think Stafford will focus on Johnson this week as his main target which will result in a pair of touchdowns for Johnson this week.Minnesota Vikings will bring their home record to 5-1 as they beat the Detroit Lions. This season the Vikings have done a great job winning at home as they have gotten four of their five wins at Mall of America Field.  The Lions on the other hand have a losing record on the road and wont be able to do anything to change that this week. The Vikings are finally utilizing Adrian Peterson the way they need to and will have a balanced attack through the air and on the ground as they beat the Lions.
