The Detroit Lions have reportedly offered former Green Bay Packer’s running back Ryan Grant a contract. He’s now visiting the team in Allen Park. Or is he not visiting? Another injury plagued running back? The last thing this team needs is another running back with injury issues. We need to stop messing around with these has-beens and never gonna-bees and go get somebody who can carry the load already.
Well hold on there critic ,before you condemn Martin Meyhew for trying to retread the tires at the half back position….take a look at the market. The fact is the Detroit Lions need a running back, and going over the list of unrestricted free agents I see Ray Rice has the franchise tag next to his name, and I don’t see Arian Foster on the list at all. I also read that Joseph Addai is about to sign with the Patriots…thanks to Peyton Manning for the news. In fact, Ryan Grant is the only guy left on the market who’s anything close to good.
