Devin Hester will not retire. The star kick returner plans to continue his playing career for another two or three years. Hester, 30, has been a member of the Chicago Bears for the last seven seasons. “I’m going to try to get two or three more years in,” Hester said. “I think I have that much left in me. At the same time, I think I do need a fresh start.” Only Hester knows what his view of a fresh start is. He was upset when he found out that Lovie Smith had been fired as the Bears head coach. Hester said that he could ask to be traded and told reporters that he no longer wants to play offense. Set to make nearly $3 million in the final year of his contract there is a chance Hester could be cut. Hester has never thrived as a wide receiver, he has not caught more then 40 passes since 2009. Known for his return ability, Hester failed to return a kickoff or a punt for a touchdown last season.
