This Sunday two of the most popular teams in pro sports collide again. The Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Dallas Cowboys in a game which brings up many memories of game gone past. The rivalry goes back to the mid-70s when they met in two Super Bowls. This is now though, and both teams sit at an equal 7-6, knowing that a loss at the end of play this weekend would see them on the brink of elimination from extending their season into this seasons playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys have held the self proclaimed moniker of Americas Team for many decades now. The franchise gave birth to this tag through it's winning habits, and it's off field swagger, during their 70s boom period. Many teams have challenged this unofficial term. Not so much to take over the title but rather to show they would be more deserving. In fact in a poll just last year the Green Bay Packers topped a fans list as to who should be rightfully called the name. It even went as far to suggest that the Cowboys were the most...

Roethlisberger Chose Not To Wear Custom-made Protective Vest Against Chargers

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made his return to the field this past Sunday after missing the previous three games due to a rib and shoulder injury suffered in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs and the belief was that he would be wearing a custom-made protective vest and shoulder pads that included Kevlar padding to help protect him. As it turns out, he...

Ben Roethlisberger: Steelers deserved to get booed

The Pittsburgh Steelers embarrassed themselves during a 34-24 Week 14 home loss to the San Diego Chargers last Sunday, and the fans even booed the team at different points in the game. The boos were most noticeable after receiver Mike Wallace dropped a pass during the second quarter when the team was only down 3-0. Even though Wallace finished with seven catches for 112 yards and...

Ben Roethlisberger says the Steelers are “The Worlds Team”

While talking to the media today after preparing to face off against the Dallas Cowboys this week,  Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said if the Cowboys are “America’s Team,” the Steelers are “The Worlds Team.” Ok, Roethlisberg is going a little too far, but I do agree that the Steelers are well represented around the United States.  I probably know...

Beating Dallas Means More Than Just a Step Toward the Playoffs

Whether you were alive in the ’70′s or not, you damn well better know about the rivalry that ensued between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. So-called “America’s Team” full of glamour and filled with a prim and proper style up against the “Men of Steel” from the harsh, dirty environment of the rust belt. Competition Analysis Week 15: Steelers Versus Cowboys

By Christopher DiMarino Fantasy Overview: I guess Dr. Jekyll had a short lived appearance as Mr. Hyde reared his ugly head just one week later. Ryan, Romo earn starts in Week 15

The games of Week 15 began with, mercifully, the last of the Thursday night games. The Bengals were sluggish and downright pathetic for a good portion of the first half, but a turnover-fest ensued for the hapless Eagles, leading to a blowout victory for the playoff-hopeful Bengals. You didn't get the fireworks you anticipated from Andy Dalton in the Thursday night game, but...

Steelers-Cowboys Preview

The Pittsburgh Steelers have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger back, but need a win to hold on to their AFC wild-card spot. The Cowboys and Steelers will try to boost their postseason chances Sunday when they meet in Dallas. After a 20-19 victory at Cincinnati...

Pittsburgh Steelers at Dallas Cowboys: Three Bold Predictions

History shows that these two teams play very close when they meet, in fact in the 30 times they have met during regular season play, the outcome has been decided by 10 or fewer points in 20 of the games. This trend shoudn't change on Sunday afternoon. Both need the win as the playoff screw tightens. After Thursday night action, the Steelers (7-6) are a game back on the Cincinnati...

Pittsburgh Steelers at Dallas Cowboys: Week 15 NFL Pick

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) at Dallas Cowboys (7-6) After the Steelers’ loss last week, I was expecting them to be dogs here, especially after the Cowboys big win as dogs last week. There was no early line last week because Ben Roethlisberger’s status was still in doubt so I didn’t know really what to expect in terms of this line. I was expecting them to be dogs, though dogs...
