Fox Sports Florida:
Linebacker Gary Guyton signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins, according to the Miami Herald, and is expected to compete with Koa Misi for a starting job.
Guyton, 26, started six games for the Patriots in 2011 and 24 of 32 over the previous two seasons, but he was a healthy inactive for the team's Super Bowl XLVI loss to the Giants.
Guyton played the past four years in New England after signing as an undrafted rookie.
BEST OF MAXIM
Linebacker Gary Guyton's down year in 2011 turned out to be the end of his four-season tenure with the Patriots. Guyton agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins on Friday, according to a source. After the season, Guyton and the Patriots had a mutual decision to part ways. Guyton, who went undrafted in 2008, emerged as a quality role player who performed well as a starter,...

((***Note***--we had no idea that (a) such a game existed and (b) that it would be asked during...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New England Patriots are re-signing center Dan Koppen.
Albert Breer of the NFL Network has confirmed that Koppen and the Patriots have agreed to a two-year deal.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be very happy to know Koppen will be back, since he’s one of his best friends on the team.
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, will likely sign his franchise tender and play out this season under the tag.
Welker will make just over $9 million for the 2012 season under the franchise tag, which is a lot more than he’s made during any year of his career so far.
This offseason for the Patriots has been all about adding depth after suffering without it during the 2011 season. One of the more interesting free agent safeties out there is former Miami Dolphin Yeremiah Bell. Bell, who has eight years experience, is a player the Patriots could consider signing after the NFL Draft in [...]
