Found September 02, 2012 on Pro Football Zone:
AP According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are close to signing free agent cornerback Drayton Florence, who was just released by the Broncos on Friday. “The Detroit Lions are still in the market for cornerback help, and they may have found their man in Drayton Florence,” wrote Birkett. Nothing is official as of yet, but something could get done very soon. “The deal is not yet official, two Lions sources said, but it could be soon. Florence, who played five seasons with Osgood and shares an agent (Drew Rosenhaus) with him, is expected in town for a visit and physical today,” reported Birkett. Florence would certainly be an upgrade for the Lions secondary.  They just released Alphonso Smith who was definitely not getting the job done.

Florence was signed this off-season by the Broncos in hopes to help Champ Bailey out on the other side, a weak point the last few years. However, that didn’t work out and was outplayed by other guys, which resulted in his release. The New York Giants have placed Terrell Thomas on the IR for the...

Broncos' Roster Down to 53 Players: Analyzing the Cuts

The Denver Broncos have unveiled their 53-man roster, and although there aren't too many shocks of the 22 casualties, there are a few that are worth noting and analyzing.
