The Green Bay Packers will be hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon, but they will likely be without their leading receiver, Jordy Nelson. Nelson has not practiced this week while he is dealing with a hamstring injury. Reports suggest that Nelson will test his hamstring prior to game time, but is likely to go this afternoon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports on Twitter, “Packers WR Jordy Nelson plans to test hamstring in pregame warmups before making final decision, but he is unlikely to play today vs. Jags.”
This is bad news for Jordy Nelson fantasy owners, but this is a wise decision for the Packers. Green Bay has already been without Greg Jennings and they don’t need a lingering injury to sideline Nelson as well as the Packers start to climb back into the playoff mix.
This move insures that fantasy owners of Randall Cobb and James Jones should be started in all leagues.
