Fantasy Football News - While the deals contract terms have not been officially announced by the Kansas City Chiefs as of this posting, it has been ReTweeted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Dwayne Bowe has agreed to a five-year contract that will keep himself playing at Arrowhead Stadium for the next several years.
FFLockerRoom Take - Taking into account that the Chiefs have presumably given up two second round picks, one in 2013 and the other in 2014 to the San Francisco 49ers franchise to acquire veteran quarterback Alex Smith, this move makes sense. While Smith is no Joe Montana, no pun intended on the 49ers irony, he is also no Matt Cassel or Brady Quinn, something that Bowe owners will appreciate greatly.
This deal shows just the type of impact new head coach Andy Reid is bringing to the organization with a no-nonsense type of approach. Before this deal it very well looked as if the franchise would either be handcuffed to having to franchise tag him once again or having to let Bow...
