Take a Knee on RG3 Hollywood could not have scripted the start of Robert Griffin III’s career any better. Averaging 267 passing yards, 63 rushing yards and two TDs per game for an average of 30 fantasy points, RGIII did not only lead QBs, he led all fantasy players in fantasy points scored after four weeks. The first time anyone questioned RG3 in fantasy football was during week 5 against Atlanta. After an uninspiring first half and start of the third quarter, RG3 met Sean Weatherspoon near the sideline, and RG3 left the game with concussion-like symptoms. This would be the first of three injuries Griffin would suffer during the 2012 campaign. Herein lies the nightmare of all fantasy owners. Are mobile quarterbacks at a higher injury risk because they more frequently leave the pocket? The mobile QB is a risk vs. reward proposition, but the upside of a mobile QB is higher due to the potential rushing yards and rushing TDs that the QB can gain versus those of a traditional pocket pass...

Santana Moss: Days numbered on the Redskins

The Washington Redskins are desperate to find cap room and are projected to be $4 million over the salary cap. According to the Washington Post the Redskins could file an injunction to delay the start of free agency in an effort to get some of the cap space back lost, but odds are it will go unnoticed.   The Redskins have a few options to relieve themselves and it would only...

Washington Redskins: Team Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft

As we continue the Team Needs series for the 2013 NFL Draft, we proceed to the only team without a first round pick; the Washington Redskins. I wanted to do this series in draft order, but it would just be rude to ignore the Redskins, so I’ll include them here at their original pick location that is now owed to St. Louis for the rights to Robert Griffin III last draft. While it...

Former Chargers’ GM AJ Smith takes consulting job with the Redskins

It appears that former Charger’s GM AJ Smith is ready to join the Washington Redskins staff as a consultant, per Kevin Acee of the UT San Diego.  Former Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith was in Indianapolis, though I never ran into him and he didn’t return a call. He was in town to talk with three teams about jobs in their personnel department — the Kansas City Chiefs due...

Salary cap goes up a bit for the 2013 season

In what was thought o be around $121 million, the NFL salary cap has been set at $123 million for the 2013 season, much to the relief of some cap-strapped teams, reports Ian Rapaport of the NFL.com. The jump gives just a bit more wiggle room for some teams, but it's the little things that count in the long run.  There will also be a per team minimum salary benefit of $900...

Redskins TE Fred Davis reportedly will be at 100 percent for OTAs

I’m still getting myself physically back ready. I start training in a couple weeks and go from there, and...

Cowboys Fan Names Baby After RGIII

Tip of the day: If you make a bet involving the fate of your unborn child, be 100% sure you can win it. That advice is too little too late for Marissa Pena, a pregnant Cowboys fan. After losing a bet she made with her boyfriend, a diehard Washington Redskins fan, she’ll now be forced to give her child the same name as her sworn enemy, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III. ...

Just had a thought... Do you remember the Bears defense of the early 2000's? It had two HUGE men inside on the line (Ted Washington, Keith Traylor), Some good solid Ends (Phillip Daniels, Brian Robinson), and three versatile LBs who can run (Rosey Colvin,

Interesting. I don’t remember that defense, but it certainly sounds a lot like what the Pats...
