The Patriots took a lot of heat for releasing Kyle Love weeks after he was disagnosed with diabetes. It appears as if that seemingly crude move may not have had everything to do with the disease. According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, the former Pats defensive lineman was let go from the Jaguars on Sunday. With the Patriots so thin on the defensive line, you would think a Love reunion might be thought about. However, it is unlikely. Love had some parting words for the Pats in the spring. The team also likely released him for a reason, they didn't feel he was capable of helping the team. Apparently the Jaguars feel the same way. Love was last reported as working out for the Seahawks. The fact the Jacksonville Jaguars are still working on defining their roster is a sign there is more work to be done. After cutting players on Friday to get the team roster down to 53 players, general manager David Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley cut seven more players and added seven free agents to help with depth and special teams. But regardless of the comments made by Caldwell...

Marcedes Lewis: The veteran the Jaguars offense needs

Historically the tight end position for the Jacksonville Jaguars was one of the solid spots on the team. Will the Jaguars be more than a two-win team this fall?

The guys in the two-tone helmets will be more than a two-win team this fall. That might be damning the Jacksonville Jaguars with faint praise. After all, the arrival of coach Gus Bradley and the radically overhauled roster assembled by general manager Dave Caldwell has brought about a more positive outlook. But while optimism is up, so are the tarps which will again cover part of...

Many folks expect 2011 leading NFL rusher Maurice Jones-Drew to have a bounceback year after a nightmarish 2012 that was marred by a holdout and shortened by injury. But 2013 MJD says almost didn't happen. The running back said at practice on Wednesday via the indispensable John Oehser of Jaguars.com that he thought to himself several times during training camp that he couldn...

The Jaguars may be one of the smallest market teams in the league, and they may not sell as many tickets to their games as some of the bigger markets, but they've never been accused of being disengaged from the Jacksonville community.
