Frank Gore is the San Francisco 49ers' new career rushing leader. Gore ran for a 2-yard gain early in the second quarter Sunday against St. Louis to give him 7,345 career yards rushing, moving him past late Hall of Famer Joe Perry (7,344) for most in franchise history. The 28-year-old Gore, a two-time Pro Bowl selection in his seventh NFL season, has said it was a goal for this season to become the career rushing leader - though getting back to the playoffs is a bigger priority. Gore and his teammates are wearing No. 34 helmet decals this season in honor of Perry, the first player with back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and nicknamed ''The Jet'' for his sensational speed. He died in April at age 84.

Gore: Dip in production due to defenses designed to stop him

After ripping off a franchise-record five straight 100-yard games, running back Frank Gore has been held under the century mark in the past four contests. Gore's dip in production has coincided with an ankle injury that forced him to miss all but one play in the second half of a 27-20 win...

Rams Vs 49ers: What to Expect

What to expect is a butt whopping! I’m sorry St. Louis Ram fans but the San Francisco 49ers are coming off a lost and have had ten days to rest and prepare. They need to take the bad taste of defeat out of their mouths against an opponent and the Rams drew the short end of the straw. The question now is how the Niners are going to defeat the Rams. In recent games the Niners have...

Week 14 Running Back Rankings: An Apology To Arian Foster

I refuse to drop Arian Foster any lower than No. 3 or No. 4 in my rankings going forward. He's simply too good. In Week 13′s Running Back Rankings, I had ranked Frank Gore as the No. 1 fantasy back because of his matchup against the Rams. Gore ran for 73 yards, no touchdowns and didn’t even tally a catch. The Rams had given up over 22 fantasy points to running backs...
