IRVING -- Throwing eight touchdown passes and one interception over the last four games, it's obvious that Tony Romo is playing some of his best football. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett wouldn't admit Wednesday that it's the best he has witnessed from Romo, instead electing to say that, like the rest of the team, "there's a lot of room for improvement." "I think Tony's playing pretty well," Garrett said. "We'll go back and watch the tape and there's some things that we always like and there's some things that we don't like. There were some plays in the game the other day that he certainly wants to have back. For the most part, he's playing awfully well. He's doing a really good job making plays, making big plays down the field, throwing touchdown passes, the ones that everyone recognizes. "But he's also making a lot of little plays. Couple scrambles in the game the other day. Couple throwaways in the game the other day. Lot of good decisions throughout the ball game." Throughout the last four games, Romo has thrown for 918 yards and completed 74 of his 116 attempts, highlighted by a franchise-best 23-of-26 effort last Sunday against the Bills. Romo's lone interception during that span came in the Cowboys' only loss during that stretch, a 34-7 blowout in Philadelphia. And the pick wasn't really his fault. Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett allowed a catchable ball to slip through his hands, which gave All-Pro cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha a chance to make the play. -- Follow Jon Machota on Twitter: @jonmachota

Romo feels good about shutting up critics

IRVING -- No matter how impressive the record is, Tony Romo tries not to take credit for it. Entering Sunday's game in Washington, the Cowboys quarterback is 17-2 during the month of November. But when it came time to talk about that impressive stat, Romo came no where close to taking all the credit. "You've got to play good in November to set yourself up to be in...

Romo’s Great Day Sets Completion Percentage Mark

Tony Romo started yesterday's game against Buffalo by completing his first 13 passes. By the end of the game, he had only thrown three incompletions on 26 attempts for a completion percentage of 88.5%.

Romo not reckless now: 0 INTs, sacks last 2 games

The best part of Tony Romo's last outing wasn't setting a Dallas Cowboys record by completing 88.5 percent of his passes. It was the zeros in his stat line, as in 0 interceptions and 0 sacks - again. Romo just pulled off back-to-back games without either of those drive-ruining plays. It's something no other quarterback has done this season and something he'd never...

Jerry Jones Belittles Jimmy Johnson in Defense of Jason Garrett

Jerry Jones ought to have the world by the tail. If you are a sports fan and a fan of financial security, notoriety and power, you would likely trade places with him in a heartbeat. But Jones’ thirst for recognition is beyond insatiable: it is irrational. Despite being the owner of three Lombardi trophies and the owner of a franchise that has won five of them, despite...

Get Ready for Another Wild One Against the Redskins

I don’t know what it is about the rivalry the Cowboys have with the Redskins. But for some reason the games are decided by some sort of wacky play on a regular basis. You don’t have to look back more than a few games to see what I mean. Last year the Cowboys appeared to win and then lost on the final play of the game when Alex Barron was called for a holding penalty that...

Cowboys will be without their fullback Sunday

With Felix Jones set to return after missing four games with an ankle injury, the Cowboys were hopeful they would have their entire backfield available when they play at Washington on Sunday. But coach Jason Garrett said Friday that won’t be the case after all. According to Garrett, fullback Tony Fiammetta will miss the game because of an illness. Fiammetta’s crushing blocks...
