Brent Celek, sprained MCL

Happy Campers is what we have in Eagle Land. No controversy, hold-outs or bad feelings, according to Eagles QB Michael Vick. Heck, even Vick’s statements of building a dynasty have faded into the background now that camp’s in full swing.

The first few days have produced some concern at the tight end position. Brent Celek a much-needed weapon in the Eagles offense injured his knee (MCL) and will miss some camp time. Celek dismissed the injury basically saying all is well. The Eagles have worked out some veteran tight ends this off-season, most notably Vishante Shiancoe, now a Patriot, do not have much depth at TE. Jeremy Shockey who has been previously on the radar might be worth a hard look after Celek’s injury.

Celek, who again has said the injury is “no biggie” and we hope it is no biggie, but should be a warning or reminder to the Eagles that Celek has been injury prone the last couple of years.Similar Posts:
