The issues for Philadelphia Eagles offensive line got even worse on Wednesday when right guard Todd Herremans was placed on injured reserve with a broken foot, ending his season.
We knew the situation wasn’t good when Herremans was carted off the field on Monday night. He appeared in the locker room on crutches following the game. But as the Birds’ season grows more and more desperate, we needed some measure of hope. Surely, somehow, Herremans would be okay.
Perhaps he will be, but not this season. Official word from the Novacare Wednesday afternoon confirmed our fears: Todd Herremans would go to IR. In his place, the Eagles promoted Julian Vandervelde from the practice squad, a lineman the Eagles had cut just before the start of the regular season.
Evan Mathis is now the only starter still standing on the line. The Daily News’ Paul Domowitch called the mix-and-match mayhem “Evan Mathis and the Pips.” To call them “po...

The ongoing saga of Michael Vick and what his future holds in Philadelphia got more complicated this week when Marcus Vick decided to spend the extent of Monday Night Football tweeting a defense of his brother and saying he wanted to be traded. Marcus Vick’s entertaining rant, which put the blame on just about everybody but his older brother, led to Michael Vick later apologizing...

In the wake of Monday night's loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles suffered another big loss, Todd Herremans. Herremans was placed on the season ending injury reserve list after dislocating a bone in his foot. The offensive tackle is waiting to find out whether surgery is needed or not.

If not for the fact that it was ruled an illegal forward pass, the trick play Riley Cooper and the Philadelphia Eagles nearly pulled off during their game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night would have been one of the most unique in NFL history. As you can see from the video below, [...]

Vick was sacked 7 times against Saints
The Philadelphia Eagles had everything to prove Monday night. Not only to the fans, the city and the owner, but to themselves. After playing poorly last week in a blowout against the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles held a players-only meeting in hopes of righting a quickly sinking ship. But instead, there will be no need for a rescue effort, as...

In my (biased) mind, I truly think the Eagles vs. Cowboys is the greatest rivalry in the NFL today. Each time the two teams meet, there is always something on the line.Last year, the Cowboys playoff spot counted on a win in Week 16; unfortunately they lost after Tony Romo went down early on with a hand injury. This year, they will play for their playoff lives.Sitting at 3-5, neither...
If you had told me before the game that the Saints would sack Michael Vick 7 times and hold the Eagles to 7 points, I would have laughed in your face. If you told me they'd yield 447 yards, I'd absolutely believe you. If you told me both would happen, I'd probably seek to have you institutionalized. But that's exactly what happened oddly enough. Make no mistake, the...
