PLAYERS: Rob Ryan
TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys

Ok I have read the past few posts of my fellow fans and bloggers. One thing is really starting to bother me about this sunday’s game. That you are blaming Romo for this loss. It was NOT Romo’s fault we lost this game. He got the job done. When we needed him too, he drove the team down the field, made the plays and got HIS job done. How is throwing for 321 yards with 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions his fault??? SERIOUSLY??? IT WAS NOT ROMO THAT LOST US THIS GAME!!!!!! It was our defense, OH WAIT we decided that during this game we would not even play defense. Our lack of defense in this game was the cause of our loss. I mean we had a 12 point lead with just over 5 minutes left in the game. All we had to do was stop them ONE TIME..ONCE!!!! and we did not do that. Rob Ryan is to blame. Our safety coach is to blame. Our defensive backs coach is to blame. Our linebackers coach is to blame. Our defensive line coach is to blame. Our ENTIRE defense is to blame. I don’t ev...

New York Jets’ Rex Ryan Won’t Call Out Philadelphia Eagles Like Dallas Cowboys’ Rob Ryan

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan isn’t afraid of anyone. He proved that in the preseason when he called the Philadelphia Eagles the “all-hype team” and said the Cowboys would “beat their ass” when they played. That didn’t happen in the team’s first meeting this season as Philly rocked Dallas 34-7. Rob Ryan’s twin brother, New York Jets...

Our Pregnant Defensive Coordinator Hasn’t Fixed Anything

Rob Ryan really hasn't improved anything on the defensive side of the ball, and his defense's failure may have cost the Cowboys the NFC East title.

Dallas Cowboys Have “Cancer” in Secondary

The Dallas Cowboys have a serious problem defending the pass. When Dallas hired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan in January, the Cowboys thought that problem would be fixed. However, it was never more obvious than Sunday night when New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning shredded the Cowboys’ secondary for 400 yards and two touchdowns. On Tuesday, Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins...

Keyshawn Johnson: Cowboys Players Say Rob Ryan’s Defense Is too Complicated

The Cowboys gave up 37 points to the Giants Sunday night, including two touchdowns in the final six minutes. Instead of blaming Tony Romo, Jason Garrett, or Dallas’ typical December collapses, NFL analyst Keyshawn Johnson says the defense is the big problem. Specifically, he says Rob Ryan’s complicated playbook is a concern for the team. [...]

Who to blame: Dallas edition

The Cowboys have begun their annual meltdown and Bill Barnwell is looking for the scapegoat.  I agree with most of his assessments except (and I never thought I'd say this) blaming Tony Romo for the loss.  Romo gave up a horrific safety and missed Miles Austin once but other than that had a pretty good game.  In the end however the Cowboys lost because they couldn't stop...

The Morning After: Defense caves in to Eli again

Rob Ryan's defense has many questions to answer after allowing Eli Manning to torch them again.

Dallas Cowboys Have More Late-Game Collapses in 2011 Than Entire Previous Franchise History

The Dallas Cowboys have suffered some heartbreakers this season. The Cowboys have lost three games this season when leading by at least 12 points in the fourth quarter. In the team’s entire history prior to 2011, Dallas only lost two such games.  In fifty years, the Cowboys didn’t choke as many times as the Dallas faithful have witnessed this year alone. The first thing many...

Week 14: Cowboys Lose in Dramatic Fashion...What Now Jerry??

I hope the Cowboys at least wrapped their gift that they gave to the Giants last night. I’m sorry, call me a homer but you can’t tell me how great Eli Manning is because the truth is, on their final drive the Cowboys GAVE the Giants another chance by lining up in the neutral zone which negated a bad snap for the Giants and then handed them another first down on a holding call...

Cowboys’ late-season trend: No stops when game is on the line

ARLINGTON – The play of the Cowboys defense has been a major late-season disappointment. With the exception of the Thanksgiving Day win over Miami, Rob Ryan’s crew hasn’t made any stops at crunch time in the past four weeks. In losing 37-34 to the Giants on Sunday night, Dallas allowed New York to amass 510 total yards, including 110 on the ground, an eye-popping number...

Inside the Game: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

This one is on the defense. It seems to be a recurring trend this season.  The defense fails to stop an opponent with the game on the line.  It happened against the New York Jets.  It happened against the Detroit Lions.  It happened in New England versus the Patriots.  Last week, it happened against the Cardinals.  And now, with the ability to all but wrap up the division title...
