Friday, the New York Jets signed a trio of arena-leaguers in defensive tackle Junior Aumavae, defensive back Eric Crocker and Wide receiver Thomas Mayo. And, in other exciting news...The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Mayo, who played for the AFL's Chicago Rush in 2012, participated in the Oakland Raiders' training camp last summer but was waived at the end of August. (photo: James Albright, Flickr)Aumavae, a 6-foot-2, 310-pounder, was signed by the Dallas Cowboys last April as a free agent but didn't make it to training camp. He has experience with the AFL's Tampa Bay Storm and two Indoor Football League teams on his resume.Crocker, who stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, is a first-time NFL signee after playing for the AFL's San Antonio Talons in 2012.And all of a sudden, David Garrard looks really good. Dallas hates Skip Bayless…and for good reason. Bayless has always been a marginally-talented shock jock. Hack, if you will. He parlays controversial opinions into face time on TV. He says more and knows less than anyone I can think of.
Is Skip gay? His name IS Skip!
Well, those are my opinions. I doubt I am alone in them.
Bayless first garnered the ire of the Dallas faithful when...
For the third consecutive year, Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware has restrctured his contract to help make some much needed salary cap room, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Former New York Jets wide receiver and current ESPN analyst Keyshawn Johnson told Bob Glauber of Newsday that his former team should trade cornerback Darrelle Reivs.
“I think it’s a smart move if they do move him and get value,” Johnson said. “He’s not going to win any games for you. He’s a defensive back who will shut down the [opponents'] top receiver, but the ball...
When you're the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys there are going to be distractions. Jason Garrett has dealt with his share in his two and half seasons leading the club, with the most recent being the perception that team owner and general manager Jerry Jones was responsible for making all of the coaching staff changes over the last month.
One change still remains up in the...
IRVING, Texas The Dallas Cowboys are wielding a credit card more than they are wielding a pair of scissors as they make salary adjustments to slice more than 20 million from the cap in order to slide under the NFL's expected 2012 salary cap of 123 million.
Three major moves were the results of levers already installed into players contracts that were simply pulled: That goes...
The rumor mill concerning the Jets has gotten rather interesting, yet slightly comical. It has been reported that the New York Jets have been looking into procuring the services of two marginal quarterbacks, namely young journeyman Brady Quinn, or veteran quarterback David Garrard.David Garrard has not been seen since he played 14 games in 2010 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has...
Darrelle Revis could put any team in the NFL over the top, especially if the team came just short of winning the Super Bowl. But teams looking into a trade for New York’s All-Pro cornerback have to be ready to give up draft picks to a Jets organization that is looking for young, cheap talent as it rebuilds with salary cap troubles.
In that regard, the San Francisco 49ers fit just...

Darrelle Revis hasn’t been a happy-camper regarding the trade rumors that’s been happening this off-season. Reports came out recently that the New York Jets tried trading the star cornerback during the NFL Scouting Combine. With this, a league source says that this situation could end up being very ugly.
“I think it’s going to get ugly, very ugly...
It was reported earlier this week that the San Francisco
49ers were planning on using some of their newly acquired draft picks to pursue
New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. However, sources around the NFL tell
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that the 49ers are “unlikely” to pursue Revis.
It’s been rumored that the Jets will consider trading Revis
in order to add draft picks...

With Darrelle Revis entering his contract year in 2013, the New York Jets are faced with the very real possibility of losing their star cornerback after next season. Trade rumors have been floating around “Revis Island”, most notably the idea of the cornerback going to San Francisco, a team that has 15 draft...

Gang Green owner Woody Johnson must prepare for very real possibility that Patriots could steal team's best player after this season, which would be another nightmare for Rex Ryan, John Idzik and brass.
That was the subtitle that sums it all up in the New York Daily News article written by Gary Meyers. Meyers writes of (and shows with the above picture) the Jets' nightmare...
The New York Jets are showing how desperate they are at quarterback. They worked out former Jacksonville Jaguars QB David Garrard today. Garrard hasn’t played in a NFL game since 2010 but with the group they have could definitely be an upgrade. Especially if he’s healthy and can stay healthy.
The Daily News has learned that the Jets worked out veteran free agent quarterback...
