The Lions entered 2012 with some quiet talk of a deep playoff run, and dare we say a Super Bowl appearance? After their nail-biting win over the Rams in week 1, things quickly headed south, and suddenly, Jim Schwartz's job seems anything but safe.
The Lions sit at a miserable 4-8 following this weekend's collapse to the Colts. The Lions round out their season by playing the Packers, Cardinals, Falcons and Bears. Early in his tenure as the Lions head coach, poor play was simply attributed to a terrible roster that was the cumulative result of the Matt Millen era, but following last year's trip to the playoffs, Schwartz can no longer dismiss poor and undisciplined play as a result of fielding bad players. Now it's bad coaching.
Many issues continue to be a problem for the Lions under Schwartz. His t...

Could the Detroit Lions be better off Without Jim Schwartz?
There is no doubt that few teams in the NFL have done a better job of collecting talent through the draft since 2009 than the Detroit Lions. A cupboard once so bare, that they finished 0-16 is now one of the most stacked rosters in the NFL. But coming off a rousing … Continue reading »

Jim Schwartz: Titus Young will have knee surgery ‘unless he doesn’t show up for it’
It took nearly two full seasons, but it appears Titus Young has officially become persona non grata with the Detroit Lions. The second-year wide receiver was placed on injured reserve earlier this week and will not play for the team again this season. Young apparently has a knee injury and is scheduled to have surgery, which opened the door for head coach Jim Schwartz to toss an...
Lions put Young on injured reserve
The Detroit Lions ended disgruntled receiver Titus Youngs season by placing him on injured reserve, one of several moves the club made on Tuesday.

Jim Harbaugh Was On “Saved By The Bell”
The years after “Saved By The Bell” ended its run were bleak. There was that college thing and then they tried to start over with a whole new set of spoiled, rich teenagers on “Saved By The Bell: The New Class”. Naturally, it failed miserably, but it did a few things right.

2. It gave Mr. Belding some more work before...
