Start slow, finish strong.
The Detroit Lions know the drill all too well.
They've done just that in most of the first nine games with mixed results. Standing at 4-5 entering the FOX America's Game of the Week against visiting Green Bay (1 p.m. ET Sunday), the Lions must now rally for a postseason berth.

Detroit Lions look ahead to Packers
Even at 4-5, with the odds against them, the Detroit Lions won’t quit.
I’m sure the attitude of their head coach plays a big part of it, and the tenacity of one veteran is a factor as well.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. Calvin Johnson has that look right now of an elite athlete who refuses to be denied.
It wasn't enough to help his team, the Detroit Lions, win their last game in Minnesota, but Johnson certainly did all he could do.
His 12 catches for 207 yards and one touchdown added up to quite a performance under the circumstances.
