Detroit Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles tore his ACL on Sunday and is out for the season, according to Anwar Richardson of MLive.com.
Broyles is a rookie from of Oklahoma and a torn ACL in his left knee ended his senior season early in Norman. Broyles' injury in yesterday's loss is in his right knee.
The Lions wide receiver situation is in limbo. Calvin Johnson is one of the best wide receivers in the league so he will continue to get targeted frequently. Broyles stepped in as the No. 2 receiver because of the October injury to Nate Burleson and Titus Young getting sent home multiple times. Richardson reported today that Young might be off the team for good soon.
If Young is indeed gone, then Mike Thomas might be the Lions starter opposite of Johnson.
