The story of former South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore has been an intriguing one to follow. After suffering two catastrophic injuries at South Carolina, Marcus Lattimore wanted to prove to the NFL world that he could return to the high pedestal that he once saw himself atop.Once the San Francisco 49ers took the injury stricken running back in the 4th round, head coach Jim Harbaugh was fully aware of the fact that Lattimore may have to take a redshirt year. Despite this, Lattimore remains a low risk high reward player, who certainly looks to be the latter. Lattimore was the number one running back in the country, showing his north-south running ability, and his effectiveness on zone runs. According to NFL Network's Charlie Casserly, "He's the best back in the draft. When you're in a position of strength, you don't need to draft right away. They're investing in the future." While Lattimore may have all the talent and potential in the world, it ...

San Francisco 49ers Strike Gold in 2013 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft belongs to the new future stars of the league, and they cannot wait to make their mark on the world’s largest sporting stage.  Here are the words...

NFC West 2013 Draft Grades

The NFC West is vastly becoming the toughest division in football. The San Francisco 49ers went to the Super Bowl in 2012, Seattle Seahawks were one ill-timed time out call away from facing the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, the Rams did not technically lose a single game against the 49ers in 2012 and the Arizona Cardinals started the season 4-0. Every team got better through...

Did the 49ers recover from 2012′s draft mistakes?

The San Francisco 49ers 2012 NFL draft class were heavily criticized after selecting A.J. Jenkins at the bottom of the first-round and having no rookies start out of the class. The criticism was warranted after Jenkins didn’t catch a single pass, and LaMichael James was lukewarm compared to the running backs they passed on in David Wilson and Doug Martin. However, the 49ers 2013...

Former South Florida Quarterback B.J Daniels displayed his talents on the field both running with the football, and throwing the football in Tampa. 49ers Invite Nate Montana, Son of Legend Joe Montana, To Rookie Minicamp

It’s hardly newsworthy when an un-drafted quarterback who floated from college to college and wasn’t even a starter on his high school team gets an invite to a NFL minicamp. Shocking, perhaps, but not newsworthy. Where the story takes a twist and becomes a headline on the internet and local newspapers is when that quarterback is the son of an NFL Legend who led the local team...

NFC West off-season report card

San Francisco 49ers It was an old school game of tit-for-tat between the 49ers and Seahawks this offseason, and I think the defending NFC champions won the battle. Note the word battle. Theres actually a season to be played. The rich got richer, and San Francisco beefed up any holes on the roster, while adding depth at key positions and replacing the valuable contributors that...
