While enjoying what is probably a routine post-victory meal at a Seattle steakhouse, Marshawn Lynch and his dinner party came to a realization. According to Yahoo! Sports, Lynch and his crew were surprised when a waitress put the TV on and showed replays of the now infamous Golden Tate touchdown “catch”. Reportedly, Lynch’s “eyes grew big and his jaw dropped low” as they were shown angle after angle of the controversial play.

It gets worse. As they all began to realize how lucky the Seahawks were to walk out of the stadium with a win, one person at the table allegedly said, “we didn’t win that game”. Nobody stepped in to disagree…not even Lynch himself. According to Michael Silver and Yahoo!, it even went as far as Lynch giving Packers fans on the street a quasi-apology for the game’s outcome!

By the time Lynch left the restaurant early Tuesday morning and, while waiting for his ride to arrive, reassured a group of Packers fans on Second Avenue almost apologetically that their team would bounce back from this bitter defeat.

Just another added wrinkle to add to what is sure to become one of the most infamous regular season NFL games in history. This however seems a bit far-fetched, perhaps some new found drama to add to the story. Who has the inside account from Lynch’s private dining room? Who was the witness that saw Lynch apologizing and sympathizing with Packers fans?
