Last week, former Bengals and current Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph said that the Texans are a first-class organization unlike the Bengals, since they used to limit how many Gatorade’s each player could have.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis responded to Joseph’s comments today.

“I was told this morning about Johnathan’s comments that were printed,” Lewis said  in an online chat with the Cincinnati Enquirer on Wednesday. “It’s my fault that I feel that a player doesn’t need to take a dozen Gatorade’s home in his backpack each night and that we are paying him a salary. I’m sure that Johnathan would not have been one of the abusive players but it is my policy.”

So Lewis was the one being cheap, not the Bengals.  Way to take one for the team Marvin.

Question Marks vs Weaknesses

The natural tendency for most people — analysts, fans and rivals alike — is to assume that any question mark about a team is by definition a weakness. If a player or position group is not considered a strength, then he/they must be a weakness, right? Not necessarily. It is understandable to want to see guys “prove it” on the field before buying in, but having question marks...
