Found October 26, 2012 on The Colts Authority:
The Colts take a trip down to Nashville this week, looking to earn their first road win of the season. The Titans are favored by 3 1/2 points, according to SportsBetting.ag, and generally the home team gets spotted three points in any contest. So, despite having a superior record (by half a game) and more than twice as good of a point differential, Vegas still says the Colts are 1/2 points down to the Titans.  Of course, should starting left tackle Michael Roos miss the game, as it looks like he might due to an appendectomy earlier this week, those odds should improve drastically for the Colts.  Roos, the Titans normal starter, has had a very successful season thus far, mirroring or even improving on last year's season for the 8th year veteran. ProFootballFocus graded him as the 12th best tackle in the league last season, and he started off the first seven weeks of this season in the top 10 overall. Roos has been successful in both run and pass blocking, but especially in pa...

Eric Smith: Identifying the Colts' Best Players at the Midseason Mark

Eric Smith of Bleacher Report has some midseason player evaluations as well as some very high opinions of our Indianapolis Colts, which he believes should be 4-2 if not 5-1 right now.  He is also very impressed with former CFL linebacker Jerrell Freeman, calling him one of the five best players on the team: Freeman has a team high 55 tackles, one sack, one interception, and one...

Richards: Brackett still loves city, team that gave him a chance in the NFL

Phil Richards of The Indianapolis Star has a great article today on Gary Brackett, who, according to Richards, has seen some interest from other teams, but it still recovering from his surgery.  If you're not familiar with Brackett's story, I would recommend finding some time to learn about him.  He's a fascinating person both on and off the football field. Here'...

Kravitz: Luck's Pressure over Griffin's Stats

Bob Kravitz chooses a side in the debate: Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III? Basically, Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne? Kent, the down-to-earth fella' with the straight-edge persona and studious appearance. Wayne, the flashy news piece with a cool public image. Both are handy in a pinch, something the Colts and Redskins are finding out about Luck and RG3. The two teams combined for...

Matt Hasselbeck is hurting the Titans future

Matt Hasselbeck has come to life for the Tennessee Titans. His success should be expected as he has led teams to the playoffs on multiple occasions. He is also a veteran who knows what to expect of defenses and what plays to make off of those reads. As a fan the concern is not for taking him out and replacing him with Locker while the team is winning, it’s a concern for hampering...

Hitchhiker's Guide to Colts at Titans, Week 8

The Indianapolis Colts rode a strong first half offense and some timely defensive plays to overcome injuries and the Cleveland Browns to move their record to 3-3 and remain in the middle of the AFC playoff picture. The next stop on their journey to a quick turnaround is Tennessee, where they'll take on a Titans team who has overcome a slow start to add their name into AFC...

Colts hoping to turn things around at Tennessee

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By MICHAEL MAROT AP Sports Writer Andrew Luck has no problem doing his homework. He'd just like to pack up the lessons, put them in a suitcase and pull them out whenever the Colts hit the road. ''I wish I had all the answers,'' the Colts quarterback said Wednesday. ''I think we just need a little more focus, we need to...

Chris Johnson is a different kind of running back

The Indianapolis Colts' run defense has been more of a picket fence than a stone wall thus far this season. Through six games, the Colts are giving up over 140 yards per game on the ground, seventh worst in the NFL. Their 4.8 yards per carry allowed is fifth worst.  It's not like the Colts have been facing the NFL's dregs, however. Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones...

Indianapolis Colts: Week 8 NFL Power Rankings (#18)

Last week: 18 (+1) Record: 3-3 If the Colts can go into Tennessee and beat the Titans, who, by the way, have the league’s worst points differential, they’d stand at 4-3 in a horrible AFC. Their remaining schedule is as following: vs. Miami, @ Jacksonville, @ New England, vs. Buffalo, @ Detroit, vs. Tennessee, @ [...]

Coming off their bye, the Colts beat the Cleveland Browns at home last week by a final score of 17-13 to improve their record to 3-3 on the year. Andrew Luck scored twice on the ground in the first half, and the defense held...
