Fantasy Sports Locker Room:
Matthew Stafford – Detroit’s offense was anamolyously bad last year. With all those pass attemps (and yards) the team should have scored many more touchdowns. Of course, when it is system-wide that fact is likely indicative of a larger problem, but Matthew Stafford simply can’t put the ball in the air upwards of 700 times again without throwing for more than 20 scores. With Calvin Johnson returning, Ryan Broyles turning in a strong camp and Reggie Bush representing a far more versatile option at Tailback than anyone on the roster last year, the passing numbers should look good in Detroit again. Stafford has led the league in pass attempts in consecutive seasons and has averaged more than 5000 yards over that same span, if the TDs climb to the 30ish range you’ll be happy to own Stafford at his current ADP...

Less than a year ago, Harvard Rugland was a Norwegian YouTube sensation. He showed to the world his uncanny accuracy as a kicker. He was so good, that even NFL QBs couldn’t duplicate his crazy placement while throwing the ball, instead. The fame he received from it earned him a contract and training camp invite from the Detroit Lions. But, like 40 other players attempting to make...
The Detroit Lions claimed two spots in Greg Bedard’s preseason Week 3 “10 Things I Think” on Sports Illustrated’s The MMQB. Bedard served up high praise for Lions’ third-string QB Kellen Moore … and railed on the team’s overall mentality in a 40-9 win over the Patriots.
Of Moore, Bedard wrote in part:
I think Lions backup quarterback Kellen Moore is going to play for...

The Detroit Lions are leaning on their defensive line to help the franchise bounce back from a poor season that made its recent playoff appearance look like it might've been a fluke.
Defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley should be crashing pockets. And the new defensive ends, first-round pick Ezekiel ''Ziggy'' Ansah, Jason Jones and Israel Idonije...
The Detroit Lions cut “Kickalicious,” aka Havard Rugland, from their roster today, ending the legend of the Norwegian trick kicker and all but guaranteeing David Akers wins the job.
A surprise addition to the Lions’ roster in April, after he was discovered by the front office through a YouTube video, Rugland was surprisingly good in the preseason. With a long of 50-yards in...

Yeah, it happened almost a week ago, but for posterity sake, here's Willie Young taunting Tom Brady after a quarterback hurry:
Young was flagged and subsequently benched for this, but I freakin' love it. I'm sure that Slick Willie was telling Brady the Lions are for real, the "swag" is back, and they're coming for him. Seriously, I don't mind...
