The New England Patriots offense is in renovation mode. After the departure of Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, they needed to heavily invest in giving Tom Brady someone to throw to. The most experienced of the additions is Michael Jenkins, signed as a Free Agent after leaving the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.
And he believes he can succeed where other free agent WR additions have failed (*cough* Chad Ochocinco Johnson *cough*), and be on the same page as Brady when the season comes around.
"I can’t say why (others) have struggled before. I’m just going to try to do my part in studying, be well-rounded in knowing all the positions within the receiver positions, and fit in where I can," Jenkins said, as the former first round pick out of Ohio State met the media for the first time today. "I’ve always tried to consider myself a quick learner in being able to pick it up so hopefully that continues to happen for me." Source
