The Cowboys and Eagles are two teams that have turned out to be big disappointments thus far this season. With both sitting at 3-5, Sunday’s game is seen as a “must-win” game for both organizations in order to have any sort of chance to make a run at the playoffs. Here’s a look at what’s being said about Dallas in advance of the game.
Mike Vick isn’t the only quarterback in this matchup suffering a slump and heavy criticism. Tony Romo is in the worst stretch of career, leading the NFL in interceptions and in what Dallas columnist Tim Cowlishaw calls a “year of regression”:
There is a surprising lack of chemistry, continuity, communication, whatever between Romo and all the wide receivers. I guess that’s why he’s throwing four-yard passes to Jason Witten in the final 20 seconds when the team needs to go 70 yards. Yes, there are many explanations for some of the interceptions, but this has been a year of regression for Romo. Dangerous thing at age 32.
