Here are some of your Philadelphia Eagles headlines from around the web.Another look at the Eagles-Steelers game from Paul Domowitch, including some interesting numbers on Mike Vick’s performance looking past the fumbles. – philly.comWas Mike Vick’s response to the question of why he is having so many fumbles (“I don’t have an explanation”) entirely too nonchalant? – CSNPhillySome frustrated Eagles fans have been calling for Vick’s benching in preference for rookie Nick Foles for since the start of the season, it seems. But the suggestion now also comes from widely respected sports scribe Peter King in this week’s MMQB column:I think Andy Reid, after watching Mike Vick lose two more fumbles in the first quarter at Pittsburgh, has to be thinking about benching Vick. Not today, but soon, if Vick can’t hold onto it. That’s 11 turnovers in the first 17 quarters of the season.- Sports IllustratedThis season is one filled with unending surprises regarding the Birds and the offensive line....

  • Reid is an idiot!

Like I said he will play Vick until they have no chance for the playoffs!

I would rather not make the playoffs if they would get rid of Reid and Vick now! Start Foles and hire Gruden to finish out the season.

Michael Vick’s Turnovers Continue to Hurt Eagles

Another Eagles game is in the books, and so is another close outcome. However, the Eagles ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard this game. For the first time this season, the Eagles came into the game as an underdog. Despite being the dogs, I still felt this was a very winnable game for the Birds. It’s hard to win a football game when you don’t protect the football though...

Philadelphia Eagles fumble away game

It was another close game for the Philadelphia Eagles, who lost their second game in three weeks, 16-14 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This loss stings for a few reasons; it was a big rivalry game against the in-state rival and it was a game the Eagles really should have won. This loss puts the Eagles at 3-2, which is still good enough for first place in  the division.Offense:Michael...

Philadelphia Eagles: Michael Vick Headed For The Hot Seat

Although the Philadelphia Eagles have a winning record (3-2), many have begun questioning whether they would be better off without Michael Vick as their starting quarterback.Vick has long been the kind of high risk/high reward player who is just as likely to break off a 60-yard TD run as he is to turn the ball over at the worst possible moment. In just five games this season, Michael...

Vick can improve on the fumbles by going to the weight room

Eagles QB Michael Vick“The fumbles” if the football gods were not looking down on the Eagles this season, they would be 1-4 and not 3-2. The reality of a 1-4 start would have been calls for Reid to be fired and/or the benching of Michael Vick. To dispute this fiction would be difficult as the calls for Nick Foles have been heard since the pre-season.Andy Reid’s “the fumbles...

Tough loss because of squandered opportunities to put it away early...Steelers 16, Eagles 14...

I know most pundits will be talking about the key fumbles committed by Michael Vick that took big points off the board...and yeah, maybe the Eagles should have proven they are better and tougher than the Steelers except for their failure to hold on to the ball in scoring situations. But my main criticism will be focused on the disconnect between the linebackers of the Eagles...

Staying on the Field: When Healthy Pittsburgh Steelers are Consistent Contenders

This past Sunday the Pittsburgh Steelers came out on top versus the Philadelphia Eagles 16-14.  It was an intriguing game that included a lot of hard-hitting, sloppy play, and resilience from each of the two quarterbacks late in the game.  Michael Vick fumbled the ball twice during the game which prevented the Eagles offense to produce more points than what they did.  However...
